The cape might need a rework if it looks blood soaked...it's meant to be a purple that's faded over time.

If you're looking for faded purple, I would suggest a gradient into a pale pink (something like Fulgrim Pink) and fading into a fleshy color like Kislev Flesh.

Irony at its finest:
The cloak is Screamer Pink with edge highlights of Pink Horror. Then washed heavily.

Makes me think my matte varnish and washes might be too heavy.

Washes have a tendency to do weird things with pink. When shading purple and pink, I tend to use good ol' Agrax Earthshade. There results are surprisingly good.

Haha. That's Agrax wash to boot!

I'm actually pretty happy with it though. In person it has a much nicer texture almost going on. Wondering if I shouldn't have "autoadjusted" via Dakka.

In the same vein as my last post in here, more Deathy stuff. This time, the Sepulchral Warden from Shadespire. Lovely model, hopefully I've done it justice as I've been wanting to paint one since the first Shadespire reveal.

Not model related but our path to glory campaign is winding down and we will be launching full on into Azyr Empires (resource map campaign) next spring keeping the upgrades we won in our path to glory.

Been ages since I posted. Painting very slowly. I can't remember, are we allowed to show in work projects as well, or just completed minis?

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

My AoS painting seems to have slowed to a crawl (hoping to correct that over Christmas!), but managed to get the Kharadron Heroes done!

I did a bit of a write up here: https://wordpress.com/post/ttgamingdiary.wordpress.com/30559

Hope that helps!

Since then and now, I have also finished some more Skaven (the first enemies the Overlords will face!), including a fun little Warlock Engineer:

Holy Terra.

I received a box of Kairic Acolytes for Christmas this year, and holy Emperor are they amazing. I actually voted for them as Mini Of The Year on Warhammer-Community.

I started painting their skin, which, like the rest of the mini, is simply awesome. I decided to limit my skin tones to three variations: pale, warm and dark. Here is a WIP shot of them.

Some converted Maneaters from my (now dismantled) Firebelly-themed Destruction army (and they are actually for sale right now). The swap shop thread even has a short paragraph on how to use Maneaters in-game.
