First highlight on the Nurgle boys, looking more like mint choc chip marines for now...

Couple more dwarfs underway too...

Worked up the armour and a few details on one Deathguard to see how it looks... These buggers will take while, alot to do on them...

Did a bit on the beardies too...

I thought I'd join the party. I had a bunch of Blood Angels from RT and 2nd ed that I painted (very badly) as a kid, using inappropriate Humbrol enamels. I think you'll agree they did not look good!

So I've now stripped most of them down (just working on getting the last few marines and the vehicles stripped) and I'll be re-painting them all. Going to make my own Chapter though, not sticking with BA.

Dark Angels/Deathwing - just getting started!
Space Marines - Stark Crusaders 4500pts/PL244 (2700pts painted)
Eldar - Biel Tan 2000pts
Space Wolves 1500pts

My Blog - mostly 40k, some HeroQuest

I like your style, dude. Love seeing old minis come out to play, and I hope to see more paint on them soon! They'd get along well with my 2nd ed era Ultramarines

I've been collecting the 8 piece Commissar set from that period, so I can admire the work that went into sourcing all this!

Well plenty more to come... over 400 figures waiting to be painted now...

Fantasy Chaos Army is ready to go, Empire is almost ready, just need a few more bowmen, all the Rogue Trader factions are based in the queue and I just got more Squats and a couple of particular figures I wanted for my Rogue Traders entourage... Plus a few more Marines I couldnt resist... So expect an updated set of pics on the Rogue Trader project this week as new arrivals drop through the letterbox...

Oh and I just decided to start an Undead army too...

OG CSM Renegades are sooooo my favorite Citadel minis. Happily I own most of the Tzeentch (or Tzeentch-y) ones, but it is always nice to see more of the old chaos dudes trotted out and painted up

Those old figures have a unique character not seen in today's models. As I said before, it really is cool seeing models that probably came out around the time I was born getting the paintjob they deserve. Awesome stuff.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2024: 40 | Total models painted in 2025: 25 | Current main painting project: Tomb Kings
