I've always been a fan of Ork Meganobs (or regular nobs in general) and Ork Walkers. I've also been looking over a couple of Ork Formations, and the Bullyboyz and the Dread Mob really stand out as having some fun and interesting bonuses. Is there a way to put these together to get a list that works well on the table?
For example, having the ability to re-roll a die when charging speeds up the Walkers a little bit, and coupled with a Warboss means that the Walkers will also be able to run and charge on the Waaagh turn. Is there a way to maximize this benefit?

Not much to do except a Big Mek on bike with MFF.
Blitz Brigade carrying bully boyz might be nice, but then you almost certainly couldn't have points for a Dread Mob.
Ghaz'Gul offering a large squad of meganobz one turn of Move,Run, Assault might be nice.
It's possible you could overwhelm an unsuspecting opponent with a quantity of things that need shot with AP2.
The naught could carry two squads of the Bully Boyz right? Points will be tight finding transport for the third squad, but I guess the naught's are soo large they might comfortably hide behind them just fine.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works. |

It depends on the points value. You can comfortably fit the dread mob into 1500 points. If you take it barebones with gorkanauts its 1260 if I remember correctly. I prefer one mork and one gork so that's probably 1300-1350 for dread mob. That gives you some space to maybe fit the bully boyz into trukks with a warboss. I haven't done the math since I only have my phone on me so you'll have to look at that. Also some tips I'd run the deff dreads until they can charge and if you can get the bully boyz in the trukks just rush them all the way up turn one. If they focus down the bully boyz then the dread mob gets stuck in turn three hardly scratched. If they focus the mob the bully boyz rip them up. Try it out. At 2000 you should definitely be able to do it.

It will be really tight to make it all fit into 2000 I think, and impossible to include a warboss and still make it "bound" since the min cost of the Bullyboyz is around 650-700ish I think. (I don't have the codex on my at the moment either).
It's a shame because the Warboss calling the Waaagh can really kick the walkers into high gear, but on the other hand, WS5 fearless Meganobs are super neat as well.
I'll have to try running the Deff Dread formation with a small CAD maybe, with only 1 or 2 meganob units and min boyz/grots, and then try it again using the Bullyboyz formation and then just taking as many walkers as I can. There are downsides to both really. Am I missing anything else?

Yep you can fit the two formations in but not a CAD with a warboss as well in 2000 points. It would still be good but your right missing the warboss is a shame.

It's possible, but everything would have to footslog if you took a single Gorkanaut. With 2 Morkanauts, you have enough for a Trukk. I'd probably have one formation and a CAD for the other components.

If you go with a mork and a gork you should have enough to get them and get three trukks for the meganobz. After the minimum and reinforced rams for the trukks you should have 45 points left for upgrades. If you get rid of a ram you can get a KFF on the morkanaut to protect the walkers some.

At 1850 I can do the whole thing with no upgrades and have 15 points left over. That's "encouraging" at least, and means that I can actually build the army and play it in events and such if I need to. In 2000, it's much better with Trukks for the Nobz, but man it would be really sweet to be able to fit a warboss in.
When footslogging at 1850, I'd imagine my best "use" of my warlord trait would be to hope I get infiltrate to get the Nobz in close faster? It's another shame they can't deepstrike, lol.

Ya I would think that would be your best bet. If they don't then hide behind the gorkanauts. While they may not have a KFF they are very large and should help hide you.
