Isn't it kind of futile to grind an achievement for flying when that grind subsequently made you too bored to keep playing and actually use the flying?

I don't buy the whole "legendaries are largely irrelevant" deal. We've got one feral druid in our guild who's got his BiS legendary and one which doesn't, and they're both really good players. There's a noticeable difference in DPS. For that matter, affliction has absolutely rubbish legendaries compared to other Warlock specs. If all three warlock specs are viable (and affliction really would like to argue about that point) without a legendary, then destruction and demonology are going to pull ahead by quite a margin with one of their good legendaries. To add insult to injury, the best legendary for all three specs only drops for Demonology, so yeah...

I reupped the other day, had to take some time off right as Legion was coming out for a new job, and I started doing Heroics a couple days ago. I think I was doing my 10thish Heroic and I got legendary wrists. Kinda happy about it.

Got my second legendary. It's a downgrade. This is proving to be one of the most disappointing mornings in a very long time.

There are downgrade legendaries?
I have read all Icy Veins class guides and every legendary should be an upgrade based on ilvl alone, unless you happened to be super un/lucky and managed to get Sephuz's Secret in a slot where you already had a titanforged 895.

I've got an 865 Ring of Collapsing Futures from Karazhan. The thing has 1331 mastery, compared to the 0 mastery on Sephusz's Secret. Mastery is better than Intellect for Affliction. Even with the socket, I'd be losing 1181 mastery and gaining 10 haste and 1552 crit. 1181 mastery is better than 10 haste and 1552 crit. I'm discouting the damage from the active on the Kara ring since it's pretty minor, but I am using it. Sephuz's Secret would probably be slightly ahead if it weren't for the fact that I have two loss of control abilities as Affliction: fear and Summon Infernal. One doesn't work on raid mobs, and the other shares a 3 minute CD with one of my two DPS CDs.
This is why I'm so strongly opposed to the current legendary system. It's completely stupid.

One legendary that's only a stat-stick (literally, it's an offspec legendary so doesn't do anything) and one that I can't even use if I want to optimise. Meanwhile I'm having to compete with mages getting additional time warps and feral druids getting free stacks of feral swiftness ( IIRC), while the best legendary for my spec doesn't even drop for my spec.
To call the situation a clusterfeth is generous, to say the least.

Nothing you wrote changes my opinion. I have one legendary. On a toon I don't play. Sorry mate, I really don't feel sorry for you.

Loving Legion so far... Went through the Alliance stuff for post 100 lvl... as well as Horde... of course I'm biased and like the Horde stuff better...
At the moment focusing on an Orc Warrior... chose to go fury with it... closest thing to how I used to play prior to cataclysm... Really dig the artifact weapon thing so far.
The spoken dialogue stuff is getting to be a pain in the ass though... its neat and all but I'd love if they just kept it to cinemas...
I probably won't do much end game stuff... so out of the loop as far as high end dungeons and raiding...

Feth you too, I guess? Insert random ad hominem? Would you care to actually address my points? If anything, wouldn't me having multiple legendaries be pushing me to defend the system?
