Hi there,

just a quick question. I found this Malifaux box:

I have no idea how big these miniatures are but i think they would look nice as alternative for chaos spawn models.

Any experiences or opinions on if i would use these as chaos spawn? I mean i laready have 6 original chaos spawn models but i could use 4 out of those figures to make 2 units of 5 spawns if the size is about right.

Spawn can basically be any sack of flesh your heart desires on the correct base size.

Yeah, but i dont really have any experience with green stuff so i would prefer something that i can just assemble and paint

Those models look cool, OP.

They definitely could work as the sacks of flesh that are spawn! Just makes sure to get them on spawn bases; it is a good visual cue for your opponent to recognise what they are supposed to be.

I use Pathfinder minis "Moonbeast" as my spawn. They look like shaven apes with squid faces.

Tyranid leftovers, green stuff, and a glue gun make for awesome spawn conversions.

Btw as i asked any experince with those malifaux miniatures and how they comapre in size to original chaos spawn?

My guess is that they look really small. They seem to be true scale and not the huge GW style monsters.

You could always go for the older chaos spawns there have ben a lot of them and some are really nice.

You could try basing like 3 of the smaller models onto a single terminator base to represent a single spawn?

Or use the big gribbles as spawn and the smaller ones to bulk out your cultist units?
