Subject: Gladius strike force auxiliary forces?

What auxiliary forces for the Gladius strike force work best with the rest of the strike force?
If running 2 Demi companies for the bonus, and keeping under 1850, what aux choice would you take?

I am partial to the Anti-Air formation, the Suppression formation, and the 1099th Company formation. All of those are going to be the least in points.

This. If you are trying to run a full company in a normal-ish point scale game, it’s going to eat up most of your points. So you end up looking at the low cost auxiliaries.
The AA one gives you something you otherwise lack, so is not a bad choice. It is very focused though, so when not facing a lot of flyers, is going to be sub-par. Very dependent on what you expect to see across the table.
Suppression force is not a bad investment for the points. With a full company on the table with all the free transports, you have plenty of armor saturation to hide amongst. On the down side, you have tons of bolters and other anti-horde firepower just from all the marine bodies and the guns on the transports. Do you need more?
Scouts offer some nice tricks you don’t find on power armor. Lots of mobility and deployment options. From a firepower POV, they don’t offer a lot more then the marines you are already taking, but they do have options. Also, they cost peanuts to get on the table, leaving you more points to gear up your company. Probably my recommendation in your case.

For 1850+ points per side, 1st company task force.
2 squads of sternguard, 1 squad of vanguard (nice spot for the captain and chaplain to join )

I run White Scars, so the Scout Bikes formation is really a no-brainer. 9 extra bikes, which are actually pretty decent and soak up a lot of firepower. Only "bad" thing about the formation is the 60pts of cluster mines you have to buy if you put them on bikes, but those actually help a bit against many people more than you would think.

You should look into the Kauyon book. If you want to run a bike focused army, the formations within are fantastic.

They are very good, and I've been looking at them, trying to decide if any can be better than the gladius getting 10 free tanks...... and I'm not seeing it other than using the ignores cover relic possibly in the gladius

If it's 1850 I think the scouts are the no brainer. Battle company strength are the free transports + bodies to dogpile objectives & grind out wins, I think the scouts give you some instant mobility (infiltrate onto objectives) so that even if you're getting de-meched you're still upfield.
