Thinking of potentially starting a Nid or Daemon or IG army. Any competitive lists for any of these? I'm semi-aware of daemon flying circus list not sure about any others, Nid wise I'm clueless, love carnafix but I'm assuming their still garbage, I'm sensing flyrants are probably still ace? iG wise I love the idea of a tank spam list but I'm not adverse to big blobs of infantry. Any decent lists for them either?

Daemons have the most powerful lists of the three... Flying Circus is decent, but Tzeentch Clown Car (ie: Summoning-based) is definitely the much stronger version of the FMC spam. There's also Dronestar, (large unit of Plaguedrones led by a FnP Locus Herald), and Screamerstar is still solid at not ever dying.

Both Tyranids and IG are heavily rumored to be getting new codices early in the coming year. Tyranids are rumored as coming right off the bat in January, with Guard following shortly afterwards.

Interesting, thanks for the info. I like the idea of the painting/modeling aspects of a daemon army while still being able to compete. And a nid army seems near enough worthless with as you say an inevitable change coming. Guess it's Daemons for me

Keep in mind that it's still just firmly rumors at this point concerning Tyranids and Guard.

While the Tyranids ones seem to have been hinted at now by some of the more reliable rumor mongers, (Sad Panda, Atia), nothing is ever 100% until we get those first, awful, blurry, taken-durning-an-earthquake photos from WD Weekly!
The only current certainty in the upcoming releases is that Chaos is going to continue to be ignored.

So if your decision is going purely by 'which codex is the safest from a re-do', then I'd agree that Daemons are definitely the right choice, as there's absolutely nothing on the rumor front concerning Chaos at this time. (except for rampant wishlisting and trolling...)
