And yes as I keep saying, this is for people who have a 3d printer and want to print a lot of terrain + more.
Not for everybody.
Wasn't trying to pick on you or Duncan. I just felt some feedback from a very similar KS campaign could be helpful to folks that were thinking about getting into it.

No problem, you likely know more than I do about the technical side of things. I just use and paint this stuff from the kickstarter and it's great to use. Before using this terrain I assumed 3d printing was ugly unless you had a decent and expensive printer... until I saw the printer that made this stuff. Just trying to clarify what I do know to people.

You can get some cool stuff from the cheaper printers. But you have to invest heavily into it and I am not talking about money only.
Printers that can do 28mm quality stuff are 5K these days and are stereolitho-machines. And you still need a lot of knowledge. Also you need to plan your prints since, the fluid deteriorates after some time.

most cheap printers have only 5x5x5cm or 10x10x10 print-area, which wil cause quite some problems.
And don´t get me started about the cleaning up of cheap printers.
Most printers are at least 10 x 10 and will print all this, no problem. cleaning us is easy as this will all print without supports.

We have been using a Davinci 1.0 I picked one up in the boxing day sales for$399 they make great prints. I pened the box, plugged it in, loaded the model and it printed. Its really that easy.

Printing only one of those buildings will probably eat up one or more spools, which will set you back at least 30-40 bucks per spool. And the cheap printers produce huge ridges that you need to clean up, in addition to the supporting structure, which you also need to clean up. Those buildings would be cheaper in resin and even cheaper in good 3D-cut MDF. The cheap printers also need constant replacements (if you can get any) for the the moving parts since they are not of high quality.
A cottage level uses 65 grams of printer spool, A spool is 1 kg and costs about $25. So that $1.25 worth of plastic. the entire cottage cost about $5 - 6$ to print.
Unfortunately I know this kind of filament and it has quite some issues. Yes, it can work out, but it is hit and miss since quality can vary from spool to spool.
It´s lower quality makes it clog up the extruder more often and you need to change it much sooner than with filament of higher quality.
It also starts oozing mich earlier than more expensive filament. And while other filament ist insert and print this one is insert and adjust. And that´s for every spool since quality changes from spool to spool.
