I've combed through the codex, and various online resources (AKA I googled it), and I can't find out when exactly the dark angels changed their colours..

Also, what year were the deathwing colours adopted?

After the Fallen, you know, fell, the Dark Angels changed their colors to honour their fallen homeworld, which basically entirely green, sicne it was covered in forests. So, this would be sometime during the Scouring / post-scouring.

Ohkk, then a fallen dark angel would logically still be black?

Also, where would I look for more info on the fallen?

Fallen could paint their armour pretty much any color, but it would be a little moronic to paint themselves green, since a legit Dark Angel would spot them as imposters from a Lightyear away. However, a Fallen who only recently fell out of the Warp (time-travel shenanigans that let them live in the first place, and all) would still have black armour.

The fallen had a mix of green and black armours. Dark angels by the time the heresy had struck had started to paint there armour green in honour of calibans forests, so logically of the 10/20 000 fallen, some would have had green armour.

So to answer your question, whichever you like.

Source? I'm just a little curious, because Fallen Angels has every Marine on Caliban, that gets mentioned, having black-colored armour. I'd love to find another source for Fallen (it just occurred to me that I haven't read the Dark Angels Codex, and Fallen are my favorite faction in 40k. Why did I not think of this before? )

The Cypher data slate said that not all Angels on Caliban followed Luther and to differentiate themselves they painted their armour green.
Any of these loyal Fallen could show up later and logically still have their green armour.

Well, some say that the Loyalist dark angels didn't change their colours at all....... Because the dark Angels are the only loyalist legion/chapter to have a respray.

But it was post the battle of calaban, because the battle literally tore the planet apart.

Call of the Lion (Short Story) by Gav Thorpe. The Terran-born Dark Angel Merir Astelan comments on the fact the Caliban-born Belath has green armour.

Belath didn’t have green armour; it was only his pauldron under the Dark Angels symbol that was green.

‘And that?’ said Astelan, redirecting his accusing finger to Belath’s other shoulder pad, which was painted a dark green beneath the Dark Angels symbol. ‘The glorious Lion El’Jonson has decreed that Calibanite warriors are to wear the green of our home world’s forests,’ said Belath with no small hint of defiance. ‘It is to act as a remembrance of the battles fought to tame Caliban under the leadership of the Lion.

Thanks - I vaguely remembered it, but couldn't find the book to double-check
