Per the title, I've finally gotten around to getting the last component I needed to run a Ravenhawk Assault Group: the Stormraven.

I'm still relatively clueless as to how to really set the formation up, equipmentwise, however. This would be supplementing a Pinion Demi-Company with a full complement of Scout Snipers and a Shadowstrike Kill-Team with the same.

Any input would be appreciated and I can work out a full list to show what I've got later if that would be helpful.

Well giving combi weapons to the sternguard (switch what they are depending on the opponent), I would personally take a Ironclad with assault launchers a flamer and melta gun and keep the normal stormraven loadout.

I've been considering a full squad of sternguard with combi-weapons and heavy flamers to taste and an ironclad with two hunter-killer missiles, for the stormraven I believe the best loadout to be multi-melta and assault cannon. The secret sauce for me is to get the Isstvan III legacy of glory for the stormraven, since it gets deep strike from the formation the upgrade is possible and it allows me to deep strike the stormraven without scatter, dissembark everything and open fire on the marked target as well as nearby ones with all the units in the formation from juat the right spot.

How do you get a legacy of glory for a Storm Raven? They didn't exist back then. I could be wrong but I think only 30k vehicles brought forward are allowed the legacies.

All Imperial vehicle may buy Legacies of Glory. No restrictions exist except where listed in the legacy itself.
