For Yu Jing their name (and the ancestry tied to it) is very important, Wu Ming been criminals are stripped of their name and assigned a number, it is the ultimate insult and motivation for them to get their name back.

for those Wu Ming in particular, 4 is a really unlucky number in Asian cultures.

First GenCon spoiler - looks like a new Yu Jing starter to me (Hsien in the middle, and ZuYong on the left).

Edit - and female Tiger Soldier on the right? So that would probably be Hsien, ZuYong, Tiger Soldier, 3xZhanshi.

It looks like this is going to be part of the GenCon release; another Operation: Icestorm styled 2 player box. Angel Giraldez has scheduled two painting clinics for GenCon, one for Haqqislam and one for Yu Jing. In the past, his painting clinics have been done in such a way that it can be used as a kind of hint as to what is coming.

Also now's a good time to explain intuitive attacks with templates and camo. Which MSV works against or doesn't work against what camo/mines/impersonation/whatevs.

The particulars will obviously be different, but this seems like a logical extension of and complement to the O:I QS rules.

Angel is also featuring these Yu Jing at least in his next painting book. Promised a step by step on his Guija.

It has yet to be confirmed though, a Haqq + YJ box? That could be an ISS army box promo we are seeing. I do hope so. I have no interest in YJ,even though some of the newer minis are fantastic. I would have a hard time convincing myself to get a Haqq + YJ box, unless the Haqq part is sufficiently different from the current one, and the box only mini is absolutely spectacular. Maybe find a YJ player and see about a split? The Haqq mini could be the GenCon special this year. ( like the Tabitha Cosplay Bolt, the Van Zant, etc)

Those Wu Ming are impressive. Shame the chainrifle and not the SMG is in his hand.

The silhouettes aren't the models from the ISS starter, and the Zuyong and Tiger Soldier aren't ISS units and I'm 99% that's what the silhouettes are so I really don't think it's an ISS army box.

If a new 2 player starter follows Icestorms lead, it will just be 2 standard starters with a couple of extra miniatures anyway.

If they were paired with Haqqislam it would be the first 2 player starter in a long time my brother and I could split which would be nice.

Probably, but if it is a 2 player box like Icestorm, it still means 2 new starters will come out separately like Icestorm.

Also, there will surely be people splitting the box.

Speculation for Yu Jing and Haqqislam based on CB starting Icestorm hype with similar silhouettes with flavour text, and Angel having two workshops scheduled at gencon - one for Yu Jing (who are in the currently shown image) and one for Haqqislam.

CB is probably going to be doing these summer big boxes yearly from now on with a bunch of previews. Considering they have silhouettes of a whole 6-squad of Yu Jing, I'd bet it's another 2-faction starter especially considering they just released a Onyx Contact Force one-faction big box.

I'm steering towards ISS HI, myself. More specifically one of the two HI agents.

The outline of the figure looks like it's wearing a long coat possibly with the loincloth as well - the Shang Ji has neither of those, the coat seems to be exclusive to the ISS.

Options:

Crane - Just got a new one. Doubt that they're in a hurry to do a new one, just for the Multirifle.

Sun Tze - The current one is perfect, so no need for a redo.

Hsien - Long coat, needs a new model. We have a winner!

I'd say the Shang Ji is old enough to get a new Sculpt (maybe with additional nasty clothstraps) and he's part of the current Starter too.
Thus another Option would be BOTH are part of the new starter box.
