@Scooty: That TIE is pretty awesome!

Loving the other entries so far, as well. Mine is still very much in progress, here's the latest WIP shot:

As you can see, the legs are done other than minor touchups. I put them on the base, but I haven't glued them as I intend to finish the base first. That means I will need to mark out where the feet will go and put texture paint down around them. I'll need to prime and paint the dead space marine scenery and rocks before I add the texture paint, though. In the background you can see the front plate for the body. The main colors are down on it, just the details left.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Little steps. Rather than carve up a £10 Daemonette for each wheel, I've managed to mold a set of four different ones in white.
A fifth only worked from the waist up, so she's going to be violating a guard on the ground.

Just need the face-up Praetorian casualty.

Edit: Just to be clear: I'm not mass recasting daemonettes.
That's the only one that didn't come out with limbs missing, I'm not a recaster, I'm a modeller who didn't want to waste £40 of irreplaceable models for something you won't see once it's built.

I've had PMs and emails and I regret this post.

Some really great entries so far, looking forward to the end of the month to see them all in their completed glory!

Hoping to get mine done this weekend, started doing the converting and the base is well under way.

Here's mine before I deal with the bases. I'm hoping next week to do them. And then patch up the highlights on the faces, do eyeballs, and get decent non-potato pictures.

I don't think I'll be able to obtain (or master use of) Greenstuff by the the time this competition's deadline will roll around, so here's my proof for entry, for the time being.

I'd sure like to be able to convert the front & center one into grot Yoda (Yogrot?), but we'll see if I have time. In the meantime, I'm going to focus on just having something in time for the deadline.

Very impressive "Mega-Grots"! I wonder if they could count-as Killa Kans, unless Megrots are added to the next Ork codex...!

@Kustomer D: Yet another fine set of Ork models from you. Consider me impressed once again!

Here's a WIP of my Stormsurge's cockpit, still needs some glazes on the screens and some edge highlighting, but it's definitely almost there:

Looking good. You going to put a frag grenade on the floor and panicked looks on the pilots?

I've got...no idea what to enter this month. The past four days I've done a few items maybe worth entering, and took proofs of all.

I'll probably submit mine last minute because I'm just not sure what to do with this months topic.

@Jadenim: Thanks very much! I mostly referenced the box art for the kit to figure out how to do the screen glows. I'm hoping a glaze will improve them rather than wreck them!

@Nevelon: Lol funny idea! Actually I always imagined some kind of force field protecting the cockpit from falling rocks and well-thrown grenades. Not sure how to model that, though. Maybe next time!

48 hours till I get back to my home in Korea and can paint again. Still no idea what I'm gonna enter this month. Given the amount of time I have left and the weekend is gonna be taken up photographing - reckon it'll be something on the small end of the 'size matters not' spectrum

I'm working hard on my entry when I find the time.

I've certainly got a new found respect for those people painting Blood Angels (not to say that painting other marines isn't also problematic). I must admit I thought it would be easy, up to now I've painted orks and over the last year my painting has improved dramatically. I didn't realise I'd more or less be hitting reset with a new army!

I'm looking for a critique on my Furioso so far. Any tips to make it look a little less bland. I'll be cleaning it up a little (some of the edge highlight has wandered off course!) and then tackling some chipping on the paint work in the next few days but something seems missing, I just can't figure what. Is it just the battle damage/paint chipping/weathering?

Cracking stuff, everyone, should be another great month, some fantastic work already and Jan hasn't even started yet there's still two weeks left!

@Kustomer D: Really characterful work there! Reckon you'd be able to cut it down to 5 actual pics, though? I usually allow one or two over with montages like that if they're needed, but it would be a tad unfair for me to let you enter all of those. Sorry!

@Moolet: It's looking wonderful so far. Two things really bring large, flat-ish surfaces like that to life, though; some weathering around the edges (not so much that you lose your neat edge highlighting, though) and some script/scrollwork (just tiny white lines to represent inscriptions and such, really adds a lot). That cannon barrel is superb!
