He's a bit like a wooden spoon, I've never deliberately bought one.

And actually, consolidated Pruff.

Lot of pinning in that mini.

Picked up a commission for the rest of the month so this will be as 'good as it gets' I think for me.

I'm with you on that one. Please don't though, I wanted to see that finished......

....we could pretend that we didn't see that post and that it was all a bad dream and there is still a chance of winning

Blissful ignorance! The British thing to do

To be fair, I think Januine is yet to finish, which is the point where you have the conflict of wanting to give him a medal for a cracking piece, and wanting to throw his brushes in a well so he has to fingerpaint on the next challenge.
I suggest finishing before then to avoid giving up entirely.

In all honesty though, I have a deep chest infection and the start of tonsillitis, so it's less about "Wah! I can't win" and more about "how much effort can I justify whilst fighting my own body?"
I had serious fun building that before I embedded the (superglued) brass rod deeply into my finger, but the incident makes me feel I should rest up.

BC, hobbying will be there any other day. Your health comes first. Rest up and plan some more devious places to hide Januine and Lechine's brushes

And to Januine and Lechine I say we're only being light-hearted, a little healthily jealous and most importantly in awe of your skills. That said, if you want to fingerpaint next month we would all be very grateful

Fantastic entries so far, special mention goes to your Mega-grots Kustomer D, your imagination is matched by ability to model, fantastic. Will you kustom rule them? 2+ save and -1BS to opponent as they are too confused to aim properly. Also the powerklaw on a str2 model is hilarity in itself! Awesome work.

@ Paradigm, thanks for the input, its very much appreciated. On my orks I throw weathering, scratches and battle damage around like its going out of fashion. I must admit I'm a little nervous on hitting the right amount with marines. I love the idea of the script/scrollwork inscriptions. I'll give it a go, if you have any piccies close at hand of what you mean I'd love to see them.

I really enjoy seeing the progress on all the entries. =)

Lechinevand Januine would probably win anyway with fingerpainting.
Now, having them paint with their feet...

Ha thanks for the positive feedback all. I really like the Atrapos model, I spent a solid 9 hours painting him on Sunday so I'm glad he's well received.

I've only 'placed' one time in these competitions so I wouldnt worry too much about it, I just enjoy having a theme to think about and work with. This month was a little hard I'll admit.

Here's one recent example of mine, taking a look at some SM artwork should also give you plenty of inspiration for the kinds of details to paint on armour.
Spoiler:

Script on the shoulder pads, particularly the right arm one. Weathering all over

Hope that's of some use, let me know if you need any tips!

Thank you guys. I really apreciate it. I thought about giving them some kustom rulez, when I field em next time! I m not sure about it jet cause I just started playing the game (2 training-games in the book!)

Para, you are right, you told me that before and I forgot about it, sorry for that. I ll post some new pics.

BillyC, just participate and see how you improve over the months. It s not always about winning, it s about showing your skills and creativity to a community that might inspire you to get better and try new ways of painting n stuff.

Keep going guys!

I AM NUMBER ELEVEN!!! It's like being first, but two times, right?!

Trev is still going to make it, but our third baby arrived yesterday. I've got this weekend to try and get some finishing done.

Grats! With a new baby it’s not like you are going to be sleeping, so might as well put some of that awake time into the hobby.

Honestly, kb, these excuses for not painting Trev are getting ridiculous! A baby? Come on!

Just kidding, of course, congratulations, mate!

That’s some foreshadowing to the teen years...

I tried to convince The Wife to go with “Danger” as a middle name for The Boy. By the time she agreed with me, it was a few years to late to put on the birth certificate.
