A good range of "rabble" would be appreciated. Feudal militia, sci-fi gothic zealots, fantasy cannon-fodder, or even torches and pitchforks mobs: I want ragged clothes, simple weapons, and a ton of models. It's shockingly hard to fill the low cost, conscript level units in a lot of games.

Yeah, that's exactly the sort of kit I'd like more of! The problem is that it's showing its age a little bit, and as a WFB kit, probably won't be around in a year. It also suffers a bit from the weapon range including enough bows and crossbows to build those options, as they were not included in any other plastics at the time (~2000).

I've been waiting on Plastic beasts of Nurgle since I started 40k 5 years ago, and anyone who's been playing Chaos Daemons before I started has no doubt been waiting even longer. Ever since the Plaguebearers got their own kit, Beasts of Nurgle have taken first place for me. I'd pay $60 into a fund to convince Games Workshop to make plastic Beasts of Nurgle just so I could then have the privilege of paying $60 for a package of 2 or 3 Beasts of Nurgle. A few times.

First off I agree 100%, the Empire Militia kit is hands down my favorite and I'd kill to have an equivalent 40k kit.

I just need somewear to complain at this point. I've spend most of a day trying to google for modren style Kobold Miniatures and only finding tons of 2nd ed style "dog face kobolds".
Screw wishing for them in plastic, I just want to see more mini's of these guys in general.

Modren Kobolds look like tiny dragon man things.
Reaper's Kobolds are Dog Men.
So yah. Kinda a huge Difference.
I've never played pre 3rd ed D&D, so for years only knew about the tiny dragonmen kobolds you see in D&D editions 3-5 and Pathfinder. When I see the "kobolds" by reaper, Otherworld, ect I don't see Kobolds. I just see Dog Men.

Near future slightly sci-fi. Ideally 8 Box Sets. Infantry, Mechanised, Armour, Artillery, Airborne, Air Support, Behemoth & Drop Ship. Company Strength. Ideally two or three human variants and two or three aliens eventually. Sort of like where GW Epic would have been if it had remained a core game.

This is what I think of when I visualize a kobold: Automatically Appended Next Post:
There were plastic kobolds made by Wotc that fit those pictures. I had a ton of them at one point, but the bin got knocked over and they ended up on my garage floor and swept away.
You can still find them online, but prices vary: http://www.coolstuffinc.com/main_search.php?pa=searchOnName&page=1&resultsPerPage=25&q=kobold

I hadn't even been BORN yet when 2nd ed 1st came out. I never got into D&D untill I was like 16 years old, and 3rd edition had been out for some time. So I went years only knowing kobolds as looking like this:
I had only found out about Dog Face Kobolds a few years also, and they just don't look like Kobolds to me. But the only minatures for kobolds on the market are the old Dog Face "Kobolds".
As for the wizards of the cost and Paizo pre-painted kobolds. I don't feel like building a mono posed army with every archer in the same pose, every spearman in the same pose, and every sword/sheild guy in the exact same pose. I have picked some of them up anyway, and the scale/portions can very alot from sculpt to sculpt. They realy are more like game pieces/markers then proper mini's sadly.

I'm not seeing much difference between either type. Kobolds have always looked like reptilian dog men to me, even way back when in the days of AD&D.
I happen to like a lot of the Reaper ones. Mine all got painted up in colors that matched up with my dragons/ lizardmen/ draconids/ whatever/ reptiles.
Wouldn't mind some that were a bit more reptilian though.

The reaper ones have dog noses and dog ears..... You must have some wired looking dragons in your collection. If your Talking about post-3rd ed kobold then I'm scared to meet your "dog".

I wish for a good kit of Scandinavian troops, whom reflects the rag tag look of many of the little known conflicts that plauged Norway in particular from year 1130 to 1240. And if the company that would happen to make those also added the option to give the models skiies I would be very, very pleased.

That's not a bad idea. Maby a sprue of bits with doors, hatches, armour plates, ect. Then you could use them to convert any 1:43 scale cars and such would work prety good.

I'm having trouble finding decent 1:43 vehicles, though. For some reason, my hobby store of choice only stocks boring european rally cars of the '90s-'00s and, well... who'd want to cruise the wastelands of the postnuclear future in a Peugeot 206?

have you tired Amazon US? 1:43 model and die cast muscle cars are fairly common in north america and run for around the $15 USD range. It seems alot of them will ship to me in Canada. Not sure shipped costs are for you sadly.
Personally if I was ever part of a gaming group playing some games around that idea, I would go out of my way to look for the most undignifying vheciles possible for my warband to ride around in just for the humor. lol

I mean, sure, a more open-ended Deathwatch and Genestealer Cultist kit, but the fact that we're getting them in plastic is amazing.
So for 40K I just can't think of anything.
