Hey all, I was in a small comic/ gaming shop today and I saw something I've never seen before; the Sisters of Battle Immolator. Now, I have never really paid attention to SoB because when I was first starting I had a lot less money and couldn't afford them and now their model line and Codex have been gutted.

What's the deal with these things? I couldn't find them on the GW site so I assume they're OOP. Are they dedicated transports? Is it a regular Rhino hull or are the fleur de lis and all sculpted on? What are they worth these days? Are they sought-after or do people just use Rhinos for them?

Immolators are basically a Sisters equivalent of a Razorback. However, its weapon options are either a twin-linked heavy flamer, or a twin-linked multi-melta.

They are great. Razorbacks wish they were immolators. Also they go for 60$ now. More if they have the glass canopy. Yes they are sought after since they disappeared from the store. Thankfully I have 6. Still want more though.

Like the razorback for the SM, it was an entire rhino kit with an extra sprue.

ALL the sisters specific stuff Fleur bits, and bobs, and weapons were on the other sprue. Including the entire new upper hull plate with its two round hatch locations.

Prior to the all plastic kit, there was an older one that was also a full rhino kit with a bucketfull of metal bits and pieces.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Its a Razor Back kit with 1 extra SoB spur.

That SoB spur is well worth it, But if you cant get Immolators just get Razorbacks and add the MM's or HF's to the gun mounts instead.

They are burning glory on armored tracks.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

That they are. I can't fathom exactly why my mates never groan at seeing a Razorback but immediately look worried when an Immolator rolls around. Maybe it's the cargo that worries them - the Emperor's Judgement through bolter, flamer and melta?

Yes, Lord Corellia, the cargo. Outflanking Dominion Squads which can take not one, not two or even three but FOUR special weapons (flamer or meltagun, if you take the stormbolter the only thing "special" is you) in a five-woman unit. Add in Sister Superior and a priest with combiweapons, and the Immolator's TL Multimelta or Heavy Flamer.

They were part of an old obsure second edition army. I think they got like half a codex in 3rd edition.

Kind of like squats, you don't hear much about them these days.

Yep. Immolator was one of the best vehicle kits GW produced.

Even if you didn't want an actual Immolator, the Immo. sprue had enough decorative doohickeys to outfit about six tanks with bling.

You can still get it with the Exorcist, although the Exorcist doesn't come with the clear plastic window and is more than a little bit more expensive due to the metal exorcist bits.
