In all the games you played so far, whether it ended in victory or defeat (or tie), what was your proudest moment so far? Was it a heroic last stand? A fight with the odds stacked against you and coming out on top? 40+ Guardsmen dog piling a Riptide in CC, murdering a drone and running it down in a SA?

Was playing against a Tau player in a 2,000 point game. Their HQ was a XV8 Commander and the bodyguard of crisis suits. I brought in my Squad of 5x Terminators with TH +SS and my Chaplain in Termy Armour. They scattered the full 12" right into the commander's field of fire. Every one of them died except for one lonely Terminator. In my turn I brought a Dreadnought (who was hiding around the corner of a building) into CC with the commander and did the same with the lonely Terminator (him surviving thanks to his 3+ Invulnerable). Neither took any wounds and I managed to kill one, maybe two drones (my memory is fuzzy on that). Needless to say, I won combat. He fell back. His commander and its bodyguard then got caught by my Sweeping Advance and they were completely annihilated.
It should also be noted that before this combat occurred, the commander and his unit had not taken any wounds or casualties.
It felt so good to have this happen. I lost the game, but I was still happy haha

Three personal favorites that I can't decide between.
I'm up against a Tau player with my DA, my entire army focuses almost solely on alpha striking my opponent. A bunch of DW when they still had the first turn DS, a bunch of ravening that all scouted, a dreadnought in drop pod. I have no clue to this day why he did this, but he piles his entire army in a corner of the board, zero spacing between anything, almost zero cover. I set up directly opposite them with the bikes. Seize initiative. With the bikes 12" scouted, I drop all of my termies (knight squad and two standard squads) 6" away from his stuff without scatter, set to charge turn two. Dreadnought is parallel to his front line of fire warriors, set to roast his entire line with a heavy flamer and assault cannon. BK are going to pour plasma into his riptide. So what does the guy do? Says he quits. Yeah, doesn't even wait to see how much damage I do, doesn't see if he can kill anything before it all charges, just quits. Yeah, it infuriated me, but it feels so good tabling a TFG.
Next big one was up against Tau again. Why do they always underestimate DA? Turn one DW come in right in front of his line. Jumps his riptides as far away as possible... towards my black knights. Terminators get chewed up, but 2 regulars charge his command unit of suits and wipe them, lone DW knight spends the rest of the game beating down fire warriors while going untouched. Then here's where it gets good. BK had jinked, only deal one wound from shooting.... wipe the riptide in CC. Next turn, charge broadsides. Wipe them in one turn. He's so tied up with the terminators that I just sweep across his line with them, taking out a tank, a second riptide...
Again with the black knights, this time in the latest edition (so kinda cheese with 2+ reroll from night fighting). I'm up against an eldar player. He unloads half his army's shooting at me, kills 1 of the 6. I fire the 10 plasma shots on the thing, take out 1 wound. Charge it, it kills 1... I roll 8 rends, the thing goes down.
Long story short, stop underestimating Black Knights. We will wreck your big scaries.

Stopping Thunderwolves and three SW Dreadnoughts in an Apocalypse game with Termagants and an unwavering Synapse support system. Actually, that entire game I was proud of my little buggers. Children of Crptus laughed at an incoming Imperial Knight thanks to 2+ Cover, twin Carnifex killed Arjac Rockfist and a bunch of Terminators. Infiltrating Broodlord pinned about three different Guardsmen blobs and agin laughed at anything that tried to shoot at it even after his brood died. Since it was a team game, my Nids absorbed about 85% of the shots and survived it all. Not a lot of kills that game, but tactically they were the most valuable units.

My Nurgle Biker Lord with 2+ and Sword of the Relentless.
He murdered DA tactical combat squad so got Ap2, then killed Belial in challenge and got +1 Toughness (so becoming T7). Then he slaughtered some Deathwing terminators, with last of them getting Instant death on the blade.
In the process he was down to 1 wound, but regenerated one. He tanked all the thunder hammers with just his Toughness, he didn't have invulnerable save.
In that same game my Chosen with Preferred enemy and 5 plasmaguns managed to kill two scouts, got under two whirlwind blasts, all but one died and he ran off the board.

Krazed Killa Kan
|
5 Killa Kans with grotzookas who start off making it rain (scrap metal and nickels it appears) all over some nurgle bikers which then the bikers proceed to fail their saves like a champ. Some Daemon Prince thinking he was tough gak thought he could smack the Kanz about and charged in. Little did this Daemon Prince know but the Kans where some of Mork's favorite and the blue paint they had was in a shade of extra lucky. 5 rounds of combat later and 3 Kans emerged the victors after performing their very best proctologist impersonation. After a hard day at the office the remaining Kans proceed to make it rain more nickels in the face of a very unamused Obliterator before Chaos decided that the spanking they where receiving was too much even for Slaanesh to enjoy.
There is also the crazy game where a Tau Fire Warrior with an EMP grenade passed a leadership 4 check to stay in combat with an Imp Knight, survived all the attacks from the Knight, lands a hit with the EMP grenade to get a penetrating hit to take out the last HP, and then survived the IK going nuclear. Not really proud so much as more of a "wow wtf just happened" and "we just experienced something magical" type moment.

My brother's Bloodthirster had 2 wounds left and was stomping through most of my imperial guard army when he charges a squad of vets. He wipes out almost the entire squad in 1 assault phase while they miraculously manage to make 1 wound back at him. The squad then proceeds to flee the meelee without getting sweeped. The next turn I order the squad to rally and the they all miss except the sergeant with his laspistol, which proceeds to hit and wound on a 6. My brother fails his save and down the Bloodthirster goes to 1 brave sergeant and his laspistol! Revenge for his dead squad mates!

For me, it's easy - a squad of 20 Guardsmen killing an Avatar of Khaine in combat. At the time I believe it was 4 wounds, toughness 6:
- Avatar declares a charge, I overwatch, cause one Wound.
- Avatar charges in, takes a Wound from dangerous terrain.
- Avatar challenges, I accept with a Sergeant in a desperate attempt to pin it.
- My Sergeant strikes first due to the Avatar charging through cover.
- Three attacks, needing 5s to hit, 6s to wound, and with him having a 3+ save. I get 3 hits, 2 wounds, he fails both saves... Dies on the chainsword of a gritty Guardsman sergeant.

Me and my good friend of many years were playing dark vengeance. My Tactical squads were sort of being lack luster, Deathwing were slowly moving up the board, and my Ravenwing bikers got crisped by a cultist with a flamer. Finally, my librarian advanced upon his Chaos Lord. I initiated a challenge upon his Lord. Me and him had a 10-minute roll off and he was down to one wound and he ended up killing me. I liked to think that librarian died heroically and to ensure his men a swift escape. We ended the game shortly afterwards.

First FLGS League I played in. Mech Guard (me) vs Marines. Each held the same amount of objectives in our own zones, he held the one in the middle with a scout squad in cover. Last turn, whole army shoots at scout squad. Removes all but one. He'll win if I don't kill that last scout. One more mech vet squad left. Multilaser fails, plasma fails. Scratching my head, decide feth it, roll the lasguns and hope. Roll for two lasguns. One hits. Wounds. Scout flips a 1.
Eeked a tie out of that match. Or a win, can't remember. Point was it was close.

Had a sniper scout squad infiltrated up into the middle of a map to hold an objective. My opponent webway portals an entire Dark Eldar beastpack with attached HQ right into my face and then proceeds to charge in and eat all of the squad down to a single man. My lone scout then proceeds to start making 4+ saves like it was his job. Holds up the entire pack for 3 entire turns of close of combat, then finally dies in glorious combat just as my terminators get to the fight and proceed to slap some of the emperors justice into some uppity Knife-ears.

That game against Necs(Mechanicum+ IG vs 4k Necrons, 7th edition), when my Myrmidon Secutors wrecked 2 Monoliths in cc, my Thallaxii blinded that Praetorian/Overlord-deathstarunit and then killed them off with the assistence of 20 Adsecularis and the C`tan-shard, that got shot by my commandsquad(6 Thallax+Myrmidax Archmagos).
We lost that one anyway(Decurion with double-Harvest ).

5th Edition. My tyranids vs chaos demons. Specifically 5 Bloodcrushers charged Old One Eye. I'm thinking he's doomed. The Bloodcrushers get tons of attacks all of which ignore armor, hit on 3s and wound on 5s. They proceed to whiff every. single. wound. roll. Old One Eye then rolls up his sleeves, swings, hits, wounds and wipes the entire squad in one assault phase. He then donned his shades and quipped an awesome one-liner.
A point of comparison. On the same turn of the same game, ONE bloodcrusher charged TWO (wounded) carnifex. The single bloodcrusher wiped them both out with no problems in one assault phase.
That one moment is why Old One Eye is my favorite 'Nid and always will be!

played a zone mortallis game with 6th edition Dark angels against a horus heresy army. My deathwing terminators charged into his 15 man legion tactical squad with an apothecary and with the warlord. I decided "what the hell" and also charged in a lone tactical marine. I smited with str 10 and killed a ton of the Heresy marines, and he failed moral. Now, Legion marines do not have ATSKNF. while my terminators could not sweeping advance, my one lone tactical marine could... We rolled off. He rolled a 1, and I rolled a 5. That lone marine killed the rest of the squad, the warlord and an apothecary by himself. It was amazing. Also recently had a game where I faced against tau. He brought a flying tau commander suite thing onto the table and tried to kill my Icarus onager, but only managed to glance it to 1 hull point. I responded next turn, shooting the wounded icarus at the commander, dealing 1 wound but forcing a grounding check. He failed and fell out of the sky, hit the ground, failed his invuln and got instantly killed by the str 9 no armor save hit as he was only Toughness 4. And that's why you choose the practical over the stylish.

Grim Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain
|
I've got a couple of good ones.
One of them was back when Dark Angels had the crappy 6th ed. codex. I had Azrael in a tactical squad drop pod in next to a Necron Overlord and some Lychguard. I was going to drop in some Deathwing Terminators near Azzy but they scattered off the board and mishapped their way into ongoing reserves. The Overlord and Lychguard charged Azrael's group, and due to his warlord trait the Overlord had to issue a challenge. I accepted with Azrael, and after just one round of combat that Overlord was lying on the ground in sparking pieces (he failed all his saves including RP). I lost the game, but man that was a great moment!
More recently, my Khorne Daemonkin were facing a Tau Farsight Enclaves army with lots of suits, including one Riptide, two of the Forgeworld XV9 Hazard suits, and a Stormsurge. I had a Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage set his sights on the Stormsurge. Unfortunately, my opponent was ready for this and sent a lot of firepower at the 'thirster. Khorne was definitely favoring this guy, as he managed to survive all four D-missiles from the Stormsurge as well as some other shooting with one wound remaining. He did get to charge the Stormsurge, and survived some Supporting Fire from a nearby missile Crisis unit. The Stormsurge had deployed his anchors and could not stomp, but he could still punch, but the 'thirster survived that. The 'thirster swung, got 5 hits, and then proceeded to roll three 1's on the D table, and no 6's, and only knocked three wounds off the Stormsurge. Elsewhere, I had tried to drop a unit of Bloodletters, but they mishapped and my opponent got to place them. He put them near the Bloodthirster, for a very good reason. On his turn, he could not fire into the combat, but could target the Bloodletters and let a large blast scatter into the Bloodthirster. He tried it, but failed to hurt the 'thirster yet again. Meanwhile in the combat, the Stormsurge pulled up his anchors and tried to punch it out again, but couldn't hurt the 'thirster. I finally rolled a 6 on the D-table with the big axe, felling the big war machine, but he also rolled a 6 on the stomp, ending the Bloodthirster as well. It was a great moment having that D-thirster survive all that firepower and manage to kill his target even though he did not survive afterwards.

Back in 5th edition when my deceiver made 14 4+ invuls in a row. he literally just walked across the field and crushed a huge amount of the enemy csm. Abbadon was so cranky. every time he charged the deceiver he would just leave combat before any blows were struck over to a nice and squishy havoc squad.
or another time when a squad of termys deepstriked behind my lone guardsmen squad. my guardsmen all turned around and shot them with lasguns. 5 termys died and on there turn they charged in and died to the guardsmen in cc.

Tzeentch daemons vs orks, the scouring. I've had no lesser daemons since turn 2 and the portalglyph isn't helping with that. The big guys are rampaging nicely, but they can't hold many objectives.
In the last turn, LoC takes and objective, easy enough. Portalglyph works for the first time in the game and 3 daemonettes get the run to an objective, still a point behind... The one prince I have left (been on 1 wound since turn 2) flies over to a trukk on the 4 point objective and throws enough flickering fire to boom the trukk and claim the prize.

My best moment?
1850 points. Space Marines vs. Dark Angels (Ravenwing). My entire army has been dismantled by a massive squad of Black Knights save for my Chaplain in TDA, and 2 Assault Termies. but I've managed to batter his army down to just the squad of Black Knights. His Black Knights fire at my Termies, but through a combination of impressive Storm Shield saves and my opponent's inability to hit anything, all three survive. On my turn I declare a charge with my Termies. After Overwatch only the Chaplain is left alive, and he makes his charge into the Knights. Over the next 3 turns my Chaplain proceeds to beat all of the Black Knights to death, all the while managing to pass every armor/invuln save that he's required to take. Afterwords he stood on a massive pile of dead bikers, looked up to the sky and praised the Emprah! That one Chaplain's refusal to die won me the game.

Using one of the really old scenarios where one army is bunkered in the centre, the other army attacks from both sides.
Game starts, DE blow all my vehicles to smithereens within seconds, begin whittling down my tacts for 4 turns, all the while im failing my reserve rolls for my GKs.
Turn 5, DE have entered the defensive perimeter, Wyches mince the remaining tacts. I'm down to 5 tacticals sitting on the objective (which was the DE win condition, they hold that for 1 turn, they win) my Chapter Master, unscathed, has charged a unit of Kalabites and a unit of Incubi to hold the line.
Suddenly, like the light of the Emperor himself, my GK's arrive, no DS mishaps, no scatter. They proceed to flame everyone in the building, clearing out the wyches that were baring down on my last 5 men. Next turn they proceed to charge a rampaging Talos Engine and the last unit of Wyches.
Last turn of the game results in my Chapter Master wiping the Incubi, thus forcing the Kalabites to break and get run down. A 10-strong unit of interceptors sacrifice half their unit in a noble sacrifice to wipe out the Wyches, and a Strike Squad, of all things, casts hammerhand, wounds the talos, fails save, Force goes off (this was 6th), ID'd.
They were killed to a man, I only had a chapter master, 5 tacticals, 5 interceptors and the Strike Squad left (16 models in all).

I'd say that dying to something like that is pretty shameful for your opponent, considering that Black Knights have Hit and Run, just like all other RW bikers.

Khorne Chosen Marine Riding a Juggernaut

Well i have a few, but there is these two that i'm particularly proud off.
In 6th Vs our best player that plays coincedially Eldar and tau.
I play classic World Eaters with Kharn in a CHosen squad.
somewhere in turn 4 Kharn is assaulted by the Wraithknight, the HoW takes out one Chosen, then Kharn proceed with his usual.
6A hits, 5 of Them Wounds, he manage to save 1, and then strikes back at my Chosen, i loose 3 of them, then my Chosen with Fist strike, and kills the Wraithknight.
I was soo damn proud.
I pictured in my head the scene, where Kharn climbs with the aid of Gorechild the eldar construct to reach for the cockpit, forcefully takes out the pilot by chopping massive chunks of Wraithbone, then behead him, while the chosen with Fist, deals a massive blow to the Knight legs and breaks them, with the Knight falling down and Kharn jumping off and landing on the ground, while the thundering sound of the falling giant machine echoes through the battlefield.
Kharns holds the dead Eldar pilot in his hand and show it before all to see, while screaming "Blood for the Blood God!" and have the remaining World Eaters still fighting response " Skull for the Throne of Skulls!".
Games Vs Tau.
We play the relic, bu the 5th turn , my Tau opponent is down to a unit of Missiles broadsides, a team of firewarrior, a Hammerhead and a Crisis Team.
I'm down to 2 bikers, 4 Zerkers, 1 immobilized Maulerfiend and a Lonesome Zerker Champ that holds the relic in a LoS blocking ruin.
The game is tight, he tries to outflank my lonesome Champ with his Firewarriors and doesn't need LoS with halves his missiles or something.
he throws everything he can at him, the Champ previously got a multiboon with +1T and FnP.
After a really ugly shoothing phase, where nearly all his shots hits me, the smoke settle down, with huge chunks of rubble settling down, with my Champ emerging unscathed and Victorious atop of the ruins, holding high the Relic!!!!
Roled for extra turn, thanks the Dark Gods balls we din't do an extra turn, and i won.

My Autarch and a warlock conclave get charged by a Greater Unclean One, Daemon Prince a horde of Plaguebearers and a Soul Grinder. The Daemon prince challenges the Autarch, over the next few rounds the Conclave begins to fall to the hordes of Daemons whilst the Autarch is doing surprisingly well dodging the Prince's attacks, but ultimately one of the monsters blows finds it's mark, instant killing her creating a huge explosion from her waystone (phoenix gem)...Wounding the beast (on a 6)! Rising to her feet and her wings unfurled, she thrusts the Shard of Anaris into the Daemon's chest killing it outright and killing the surrounding plaguebearers back to the warp with instability
