Just to be clear: A store pays 30 for the kit. The kits were limited, mostly to people at the GAMA tradeshow. Next quarter will have more available. Just 200 this time around.


GW offered packages at 500 and 1000 dollars to stores, at a much better discount than normal.

Stores DID NOT have to buy in. Probably encouraged by their sales reps. But optional. I had 1-3 of each tank in stock. Passed on them. Bought the kit for 30 bucks.

This kit is a scenario pack with custom tokens?

Mikhaila... I don't suppose you're allowed to give us insights for what is/isn't on the event supported product list?

I'd like to plan some future purchases, but don't want to buy anything now that would be better purchased in support of this event.

Baneblades are specifically mentioned, so for those planning on taking a superheavy at 500 pts your covered . But, in all seriousness, yeah the tables only work for vehicles. Nids get a Tank Hunter MC. You can take other MCs and GMCs in your list if you like, but not as the main model and prolly not at the 500 game. Unless you get a vyper as eldar. But then your that guy

I'm not really looking to break or ruin the event by taking a super-heavy, I just really, really need a Stormlord for my army and this event may as well be the perfect incentive get it.

But yeah, we've got one of those guys at the store.

So you buy and build a tank and use it as part of a 1750 army?

I guess I don't get it. Hopefully more words explaining what's what will come soon.

That's the tourney bit which is different.

There is not enough coffee in the world to get me coherent enough to wargame at that hour. Particularly considering transit times to the store. Which, shockingly is an option as one in my area is on the list of participants.

Do we have any idea of what the player rewards/prizes/entry fees are going to be? Or is all of that on the store level?

I'm pretty sure the entry fee is buying a tank/vehicle kit on day one of the league.

Hey guys, a couple of quick observations, if I may be so bold?:

-The wording is: "Players are *encouraged* to field...". it says nowhere I've found that the event is "tanks only". by "encouraged" it refers to the upgrade table found here:

Doesn't seem like anyone nearby is doing it. Kind of expected that.

I kinda like that artwork though. The art itself isn't really the best, it's just seeing a Tau hammerhead squaring off against a Leman Russ that I think is cool. I always liked the idea of doing a big tank battle with Tau vs. IG for some reason.

So, have people already partaken in this at their store of choice?

We wanted to make a start ourselves yesterday, but all the documentation (scenarios, set-up, special rules etc.) was missing, crap!
