Have they changed that formation? Last I heard, it required a Warboss, and Ghaz is not a "Warboss".

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Its part of the larger Orkcurion now, where as long as you take ghazghkull as part of the Council of WAAAGH! to be your command formation, he gets the benefits of calling a WAAAGH! every turn including the first. One of the few things that came out sort of okay from the revised Ghazghkull supplement.

Necrons don't have that much AP2 in abundance. Most of the time its mass gauss and things like wraiths, which granted do have occasional AP2 via rending but since they can't challenge I LoS all the rends onto the boyz and tank the rest on him. Lychguard are rarely seen in my meta (with warscythes at least) and he uses Zandrekh so no warscythes either from his Overlord HQ. At most he might sometimes run a judicator battalion but I handle them the same way as I do wraiths.
Isn't a warscychte ap1 S7 on every necron destroyer / overlord, seems to me like they would just challenge you and cut you in half.

Warscythes are the go-to wargear for DYI Necron HQ Lords but Zandrekh doesn't come with one (he has a staff of light) and in the instances where he does take an HQ with it, I always have either the Nob or other mook take the challenge for me. That's assuming that the Necron Lord catches me in combat since short of the veil of darkness or a catacomb command barge he doesn't have access to the transport mobility of a MAW. Also, since my MAW typically has a Painboy as well in his unit sometimes I just go balls deep and accept the challenge, Having only 3 attacks for the Necron Lord means your MAW has a reasonable chance of surviving.

Tau Commander. Easily. Though a Cadre Fireblade/Ethereal can fit niche builds well. I wish the Tau had more Command Suit varieties or something. It's a little boring always taking the same thing.

AP2 S7, actually (not that it makes a difference). There's a reason I'm one of the few people I know who uses Warscythe LG exclusively. Pretty much every army in my meta uses some form of TEQ deathstar and/or smashfucker. My only problem is getting them in range.

A CSM DP with the Black Mace is decently killy, and can hurt nigh on anything.
I also take Ahriman a lot, but he's normally not worth it. But, you have the odd game where Psychic Shriek or Doombolt goes really well and you take a huge chunk of the opponent's army in one hit.

I'm always a bit puzzled by the inclusion of smashfucker in these lists. Perhaps it's because I play pure MSU with no bit target, but I find his damage output abysmal for how costly he is. Whenever an opponent brings him out, I just ignore him and focus on the rest of the army. Hasn't failed me yet.

Chaos Lord on Bike with Power Fist and Lightning Claw with a smattering of upgrades (Sigil of Corruption, or Aura of Dark Glory) makes for a great beatstick in higher points levels where one can afford it.
Otherwise I'd say the Farseer is ML3, decently survivable, and has access to the Singing Spear for 105pts. And that's hard to beat for points to performance in most fields.

My club tends to use a fair bit of LOS blocking terrain, so I normally can get him in close enough to jump a building into combat, though I won't deny that overwatch can be dicey. Normally I take a few powers from Biomancy to buff (fishing for Iron Arm and/or Endurance).
He won't always work, but used sensibly he can nasty. However, I also have to admit... I normally now use him as DP from an Allied CD detachment, simply because the rewards (namely the Greater Ones) let him be much nastier for less cost (and I'm planning on swapping him out altogether for a GD - even cheaper and that all important T6)
