Hello all,

Got a couple of Knights in the new Renegade box, and I'm wondering how to make the arm weapons interchangeable without the use of magnets. The weapons all seem to plug into the same socket parts, yet the assembly process seems to make the idea of simply unplugging weapons unlikely. Can it be done without resorting to magnets?

Only by making a shoulder joint for every weapon. Magnetizing it is actually really easy, any reason that you are against it?

Main thing being I have very few magnets remaining, although I suppose it's worth the wait to get some more.

It does take a fair few. Apologies if I'm telling you what you already know, but I posted a quick guide on doing this a while back on this thread;

if it helps.

Magnets are super cheap on ebay, by the way You can also order a better variety of them.

Honestly, just don't glue down the shoulder pads.

They still hold on quite well without glue, and they are really the only thing keeping you from changing arms.

Yeah you can remove the arms, which helps transporting, but you need to glue the shoulder piece and the weapon arm, so that doesn't let you change the weapon loadout, it just allows you to take off the options you are committed to.

Plus this, last time I got them I picked up about 300 for less than a tenner with p&p.

Ahh yes that's true, but you must get 4 shoulder-arm pieces in the box though right?

You could also buy the spare-bit on ebay. ...but yeah magnets will do it.

In either case DON'T glue down the shoulder-pad. It will still stay in place during games.

No you only get two shoulders, and they'll be rare on ebay due to how important they are to the build, although they'll no doubt come up with bitz sellers now and again.

I'm talking about a single knight, are you talking about the renegade box? In which can yeah you'd get four.

Oh yes; the OP has the renegade box and wants to make the weapons interchangeable. But yeah either magnets or an ebay bit would solve the issue of having 'one of everything' available at least.
