That's only because of currency fluctuation, if at all. If the Sterling regains its footing, those £70 will go back to 90€ in a jiffy.

GW has pricing brackets for worldwide regional sales, it doesn't just do straight up currency conversion.

The prices are pretty standard for GW. Presumably that is 10 pairs of brimstone horrors, so two boxes of blue for every one of pink if you want to use the splitting rule. Start collecting is good news, though it will probably only include the old minis.

All this after I scour ebay endlessly buying brimstones lol.
Atleast I have a use for 60 of them now!

Considering BT is 80 and Skar is 90, a LoC for 70 works fine for me.

Liberators and Judicators being pulled? I'd guess they're repackaging them to 10 models/box so they can lower the price without looking bad. Hopefully they'll do the same with the Fyreslayers which are horrendously expensive.

GW are hobbled by Kirby's promise to never reduce prices. This could well be a way around that. £40 for 10 would be a much more palatable price. Why there is not a sc fyreslayers bundle remains a mystery. Maybe when the next range of duardin comes out we will see one.

Very likely. Stormcast Eternals have one of the worst reselling price on Ebay too, you can get 5 new in box Liberators/Judicators/Paladins for ~20 € regularly.

Hopefully they do it for most of the 5 model AoS boxes.

Come on man, you should know GW's pricing strategy by now. It's been the same for decades. Characters always command a premium over infantry because a player only needs one of the former in their army.

Not saying I approve of it but it's always been their MO.

Ha!

Exactly!

That was the least surprising pricing decision since...the last time GW did it.

And yeah, no one outside of GW thinks it makes much sense at all!

Heh. To be honest, I do.

How many boxes of blue and brimstone horrors would you need? And how many Changeling blisters do you think people would need?

I suspect the blue and brimstone horrors would be very simple to build, like in one piece or maybe two for the blue horrors.

I'm pretty sure GW expects to sell these blue/brimstone in huge numbers, thus the "low price". Changeling...well, it's like Archaon, but on a much smaller scale. They don't really expect to sell the same numbers. Since it's a center piece and you only need one, they certainly think people will rationalize their choice.

And it usually works, actually. Sure, you can make a conversion out of a Horror/Herald, but well...I don't believe many people will do in this case, like they would with the Tzaangor shaman and the Enlightened/Skyfire "troops".

I'm hoping GW eventually does the same thing with the GSC Acolyte Hybrids/Metamorphs. I might actually consider buying into that army if they did.

Hmm. The Disciples of Tzeentch hardback is 'Sold Out - No Longer Available' on the US webstore.

On the UK webstore, there's the Disciples of Tzeentch hardback for £20 and the Disciples of Tzeentch softcover for £15. I believe we'll see the softcover version in the US webstore soon for a cheaper price (maybe $25-$30).

I don't see why they'd drop with next iteration of duardin. gak, several of us even wrote in asking about the box and we were told "coming."

I love the Gryph Hounds . The ranger guys will be excellent for Astral Templars conversions. In the audio dramas, they've gone a bit native and adorn their armour with pelts from beasties they've killed. As well as ritualistic blood drinking from beasties too (like the Maasai Mara in Africa)

Oh god, you've read my mind dude. I think I'll grab the one that looks like the biggest pimp of the bunch and stuff him with the bearded deathbringer's head to make justice to Hamilcar's badass looks. And I don't play stormcasts.

The gryph hounds are excellent minies - I'll grab a box for my fantasy collection anyway (dnd and other rpg stuff). The stormcast kit though... I'm a stormcast collector, have read the lore, love the models etc. I've also been there to defend them when they were being called fantasy space marines... You know what? I take it all back, I surrender. A piece of me died when I saw the clip holding sergeant and the one holding the "scrying sphere" (crying inside) . There are too many similarities in the pose and intent there to just walk by... Probably will get a kit for my collection at the end of the year, though...

A great addition to the Storm cast range, like AOV I love those Gryph hounds. Nice to have some storm last that look like they dig in and have a fight rather than just smashing all before them with no effort.
