Unit entries Codex: Deathwatch don't actually contain any rules and instead reference Codex:Space Marines, making it a mandatory purchase.

Helfire Rounds, Hatred (Xenos) and Preferred Enemy (Xenos) are not present in the codex at all.

All Deathwatch units have CT: Ultramarines, because everyone aspires to be Ultramarines.

The DW colour scheme is now silver with a black arm, rather than black with a silver arm. The DW now has its own Chapter Symbol and recruits pre-pubescent human initiates rather than veteran Space Marines. However all these recruits are cross-bread human-xenos mutants. Their symbol is a sword stabbing a Tyranid Ripper.

The DW is lead by a former Ultramarine Librarian Illiyan Nastase who is half Eldar. This is his first true fluff appearance since RT. Eldrad is secretly his father and the conflict in the next campaign will end when Illiyan final discovers this hidden truth.

Tune in when hell freezes over for rumours about Codex: Brothers of Battle, a codex for the all-male Chamber Militant of the Ordo Hereticus!

I do.

From the Rumour Mill: The Deathwatch ission objectives will only be determined during the game, by drawing cards. Such objectives will include "move a marine to [somewhere]", "cast a psychic power", "Deny The Witch once", "Kill a genestealer" and the famous "Use the Ultramarine's Chapter Tactics this turn".

When it is discovered that a remote convent of sisters have such faith in the Emperor that xenos wither in their presence, the Death Watch are dispatched to harvest their blood for use in bio weapons against the various alien races that plague mankind.

46-With the return of Sister Artemis, Codex Deathwatch will once and for all establish that there are female marines. They just don't look all that different after a decade of surgeries and 400 pounds of armor.

47-The Marines In Black are much, much, much more awesome than the Grey Knights. This is because they wear black and the Grey Knights don't. The Marines in Black always beat the Grey Knights in the annual intra-chapter softball game, last time it was like 12-0 and the Ump had to call the game in the 4th inning because of the mercy rule.

48-The Marines in Black have never beaten the Ultramarines intra-chapter softball because the Ultramarines refuse to play. They know they would humilitate any chapter that dared to play them so their honour will not allow them to play. Besides no one would want to play the Ultramarines in intra-chapter softball because they all aspire to be Ultramarines.

49-The Marines in Black only recruit the best of the best of the best of marines who are not worthy to be Ultramarines. The best of the best are still allowed to join but they have to drive the rhinos.

50-Deathwatch brother Murderglimpe Axemurder once killed 12 hive tyrants and 3 avatars armed only with his mess kit. For this feat he was awarded the chapter's highest honor and declared an honorary Ultramarine for a day. He turned down the honor because he knew in heart he was not worthy.

Brother Murderglimpe turned it down as he does't want to be associated with the Ultrasmurfs.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

Deathwatch can recruit ANY named IC that's a 'Marine'. The wording in your Codex is so bad, that this will include Khârn the Betrayer, Typhus and even Karl Franz for some reason.

Codex: Imperial Navy will be released a month after Deathwatch, but since Navymen are referred to as Marines, they too can join the Deathwatch.

I'm on board for someone making this look almost legit. Best one in the thread.

I saw a pic of a Bolt Pistol with an underslung Twin-Linked Grav-Cannon and chain bayonet. Are you sure your sources are good?

Any weapon in the codex can be both master crafted, combi, and twin linked, including melee weapons.

Due to the free rerolls on poisoned (2+) torrent combiflamers, chainswords with combi flamers will prove the most common choice of armament.

Wall Of Death triggers both in overwatch and when launching an assault. In this case, it is 2d3 auto-hits that remove casualties from the back of the enemy squad,

Shinigami are revealed to be shards of the Nightbringer, and are to be hunted down in a supplement mission. That supplement will only contain a C'tan-hunting mission, and will cost £45.

New weapon type: 'Watch'
Ignores cover, reroll to wound xenos, AP4 (if not already better).
Daemons are considered warp xenos for this rule.

Deathwatch come with 'Watch' bolters as standard and can use all special ammo types.

Because lightning claws already reroll to wound, watchclaws will automatically wound and cause instant death.

A formation will be available consisting of '0-5 models from the Deathwatch Codex'. It confers ID, permanent Invisibility and Str: D to all models in the Formation.

Due to the general shortage of Space Marines in the galaxy, the Deathwatch's members are now drawn from the Adepta Sororitas due to a considerable surplus standing around doing nothing for centuries. Now introducing, plastic Adepta Sororitas/Deathwatch kits!

Killteam is the new skirmish game, based on low points as the first introduction. Prepare for an updated killteam rulebook. Honestly, I'd buy this.

XD

Each Deathwatch marine will be 10 ppm, due to the overabundance of Ap3/2 making marines weak.

There will be shoulder pads for Chaos Space Marines in the Deathwatch as well.

Would love to have the Alpha Legion in there.

Dw to the Alpha Legion guy "you are the bad guy, we hunt you down, you can't be here."

AL dude "Nah bro, we are Loyal, it's them you should be looking at." Pointing to the Dark Angle.
