This is the small deathwatch list I've come up with. How does it look?

Furor Kill Team
- Terminator - 40
- Veterans (5) - 160
-- Veteran (Deathwatch Shotgun)
-- Veteran (Deathwatch Shotgun)
-- Veteran (Deathwatch Shotgun)
-- Veteran (Deathwatch Frag Cannon)
-- Veteran (Deathwatch Frag Cannon)

I did also consider swapping the frag cannons for infernus heavy bolters and taking either an auxiliary meltagun or a heavy flamer on the terminator. Would that be better? Or should I maybe take a different formation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What rules are you using for Killteam? HoR or GW 6th ed?

The only reason I ask is because in some formats, I don't think you can take 2 heavy weapons for Deathwatch..

That aside, in killteam you're going to have a hard time with low model counts, so I would definitely take as many Veterans with Shotgun AND Bolter.

The frag cannon is definitely the best heavy though.

One other thing I'd recommend in Killteam (although frowned upon in larger games perhaps) is a cc vet... perhaps even a blackshield. I think that taking a power maul and sword would be a really good idea for a ton of attacks. Killteams that consist of larger model counts will probably swarm you, and you'll ultimately end up in cc with them... this happens to me all the time. Being able to get lots of attacks in 1 v Many scenarios like this, at your initiative (often higher than nids, orks, etc. at this point level) will prove very useful.

I'm not using any kill team rules, just the deathwatch codex. The Furor Kill Team is one of the formations from the codex. It can't contain more than 10 models and they all joint together into one unit. They get to re-roll all to wound and to pen against troops.

Yeah I understand that. "Kill Team" is an actual game though, that's why I brought it up, that's all. So you're just playing a small points game then? (for example, the squad still acts as a squad and not individual models; when a model dies, it dies; no extra abilities, etc. like in the HoR rules?)

Yeah, I it's just a small points list. Although depending on what the new gw kill team rules are like it may get use in that.

if its akin to the last rules then 2+ is out the window we shall find out this week.

All that being said that would be a nice kill team list if not as I believe they get special ammo too on bolters (not seen death-watch codex fully)

Careful I have CDO it’s like OCD but in alphabetical order LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!!!!

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Bolters, bolt pistols and boltgun parts of combi-bolters, as well as their special stalker pattern boltgun.

Are you looking at adding this to a current list you have or are you going to do a really small game with somebody?

My only advice would maybe be to swap out one of the frag cannons for a cyclone on the terminator so that you can reach out a little further and touch someone. That all depends on how you are planning to play it though.

Primarily its for a small game but I may use it as a small allied detachment.

For a small game I definitely think that the cyclone would be worth swapping out for a cyclone just to have the range for when you eventually kill anything nearby.

As an allied detachment though it looks great! Just bring a drop pod along would be all so you can get real close on turn 1 and lay in with those 4 "lascannon" shots
