Old Vs new. I was not happy with the vampire and the necromancer of my mordheim undead band, so I painted new ones. The vampire is a kitbash, you already know it, but I have no idea about the origin of the necromancer.

This was a lot, I wanted a Daemon Engine for my dwarves, but I found no solution for a steampunk slave-collecting murder machine.
In the end I simplified the concept and with the help of various cheap toys and bits I made a simple cage on wheels.
It works, I think.

I made 2 versions, but in the end the first one was too big for the base and too bulky.

There is so much awesome work displayed here, just had myself a good browse and the toy conversions and terrain bashing are darn great! Lovely painting style.

I found some more skaven thanks to some trades and I'm updating my old band.

Work in progress pictures.

Only 5 miniatures of this band are new, all the other were painted ages ago and I simply touch up some areas and add some washes.
Can you tell which one is new and which one is pre-painted?

My entry for this month contest on the Italian Mordheim page.

I also made a story but at the moment I'm too lazy to translate it in English, so as a bonus I add a custom image I made for this character.

He’s a fancy one! Great colour scheme, really sells him as a North African noble. Did he start life as a High Elf?

He's a very well decorated fellow! I'd like a cloak of that just for myself, somehow

Unknown mantle, empire head, dwarf right arm (2 parts), skaven left arm, high elf body, dark elf legs and various bits.

Very nice, he looks seamless despite the number of parts. Is the turban green stuff?

What a great Arabyan, that cloak is stunning. Any plans to make a full warband?

Also can you share a link to the Italian Mordheim page? I'd like to see the other entrants for the contest.

The turban is milliput.
I'd like to make a full band, but I have almost finished all my bits. So, not now.

The Italian Mordheim group has a montly contest, and this month theme was Sisters of Sigmar.

And I have none.

But with some kitbashing I got something close enough.

There is also a story, but, of course, it is in Italian.

And I finally found some chaos hounds for this Marauder band (or are they Norse?).
A nice collection of Massive Darkness, kitbashes (I hate clones), Games Workshop, Reaper Bones and even Heroclix. And I'm tempted to introduce a pre-painted Pathfinder mini in the group.

Really fine looking dwarves you have there. The green and silver set off by the golden brown hair and beards looks great. They stand out with their bright and contrasting colors. And then those nice bases just set it off.

I completely forgot to finish and show those.
A Chaos dwarfs band. Made with miniatures from Massive Darkness and A LOT of sculpting and kitbashing.

I'm pretty happy with those. They are not my favorite band (my pirate orcs are the darlings of my heart), but they got a solid silver medal.

Excellent stuff.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

They’re very deserving of that Silver medal, a one bunch of dwarves they are. The lava bases are really nicely painted, and the bits of OSL glow from it are cool too
