Subject: [250] - Necron Kill Team

Pile of Necron Spare Parts

I've made a small Kill Team I had planned in my mind. I didn't know what specialists to pick so I randomly picked them all except the last one so I could use Gauss Weaponry and still charge
KILL TEAM DETACHMENT
Elites
5 Deathmarks
Fast Attack
6 Tomb Blades (Leader)
>Armor Vanes
>Nebuloscope
>Gauss Carbines
>Pinning, Soul Blaze, Rending
Tactics
My Deathmarks will cause a distraction behind the enemy, while the Tomb Blades will fly right in front of the enemy and Rapid-Fire Gauss right in there face and charge.
Compliments and Criticism wanted appreciated
KILL TEAM DETACHMENT 2 200 POINTS BOOGALOO
Elites
5 Deathmarks
FA
6 Tomb Blades (Leader)
>Gauss Carbines
>Leader has Armor Vanes
>Pinning, Soul Blaze, Rending

Kill Team is a 200 point game, so unless you are agreeing with your opponent to play higher points, you need to cut 50 points.
the team looks solid, but its difficult to say which specialists to take as the guns are very uniform across the army

Still waiting on my copy of the rules to make it to my FLGS, but the list looks solid.

Your opponent isn't being "that guy". "That guy" carries baggage associating them with negative connotations. He's simply being the person who plays according to the official rules.
Who are your specialists?

200 points is the points value for Kill Team.
Hardly being "that guy" is it?
anywho, what is the 200 point list?
and who are the specialists? you can have 3 of them in your kill team who get a special rule each.

I kindof meant that guy as in following rules that don't really matter, like that kid from school who asks the teacher for daily homework.
I put the 200 Points list on the top post it's pretty much the same except the Tomb Blades have nothing but Gauss blasters, and my specialists are all Tomb blades, One with Hatred, Preferred Enemy and Relentless so my Tomb Blades can assault things and not suck

The 200-point rule may not matter to you, but unless you've spoken to the person ahead of time, your opponent is going to expect 200 points because that's what the book says. It's unlikely they'll have a 250 point list ready to go, and then it'll take time for them to figure out how they want to fill those points. All I'm saying is have a 250 point list ready if you want, but expect the default level of play to be 200 because that's what everyone is preparing (again, unless you talk to your opponents prior to showing up at the store). You also will probably have no problem talking people into playing at 250, but they're not weird for saying no. There's a lot of thought that goes into kill teams it seems like, and some people might be hesitant to just shoehorn 50 more points in for a random pick up game. Also, tomb blades are jetbikes, giving one relentless is redundant as they have all have it already. Plus, idk, maybe it's a playstyle, but it would really probably be more effective overall to *not* charge with your tomb blades, and instead do their assault move to set up for more shooting next turn or take an objective or something.

They have a Assault move?, I don't know if Jetbikes have a Assault move, I think you mean Jet pack infantry. Also I didn't know Jetbikes got Relentless!, thanks for telling me. I'll try out a more "Shooty" approach. also thanks for the advice, I'll expect to use 200 Point armies
