Swap the Plasma Canons for Grav, that way you can actually use them. The Plasma will not be able to fire most of the time

Plasma pistols are garbage.

Chaplain with DA MACE doesn't need a melta bomb.

Consider replacing one of those assault squads with veterans and/or hide a power fist or two in those jump pack units.

No changes will be made to the Tactical Squads. I would like to keep them Plasma fluffy

DA cannot take Vanguard Assault Marines.

Do all three of those quad mortars have to fire at the same target? That'd be undesirable. Can you split that unit into two?

Ok I looked at the Assault Squad and other options. I recommend removing
3x melta bombs
both plasma pistols
one scout squad's sniper rifles (for bolters)

that yields 50 points for
two Eviscerators

Power Axes are great but that sergeant can be singled out in a challenge before he swings. An Eviscerator in a 10 man jump pack unit threatens every unit in the game.

The Quad Mortar Crews can be split allowing them to target independently but they'll become 3 single units. A CAD only has 2 slots for Heavy Support choices.

A CAD has three slots for Heavy Support (unless Throne of Skulls alters that?), meaning a unit of two, a unit of one and the Sicarian. YMMV whether the versatility is worth the potential for getting one shot up early (and an extra unit for kill points).

My apologies, you are correct. CADs have 3 slots for Elite, Fast Attack and Heavy Support. For some reason I was under the assumption they only had 2.

Instead of splitting up the Mortar crews perhaps I could drop an Assault Squad and free up 200pts for a 3rd Heavy Support choice? Perhaps a 2nd Sicaran and give the 2 Scout Squads Missile Launchers also?

If you need more Heavy Support then add a Librarian and do two Combined Arms Detachments since you already have four Troops.

Keeping all three mortars in one unit is overkill. If you don't have slots then just leave one in the box.
