Hey. So I've put together this roster and I would like some opinions. E.g. have I missed a type of unit or tactic I absolutely can't counter? Or any small tweaks I should have? Thanks. [Point costs shown in square brackets] • Lion's Blade Strike Force. Core: > Battle Demi-Company. [885] »» Company Master (Shroud of Heroes, Artificer Armour, Jump Pack, Lightning Claw, Power Fist, Auspex) [190] »» 1 Assault Squad (Jump Packs, 2x Flamers) [95] »» 3 Tactical Squads (Grav-Cannon with Grav-Amp, Melta Bombs) in Rhinos (Dozer Blade) [3x150] »» 1 Devastator Squad (4x Lascannons) [150] Auxilliary: > Ravenwing Attack Squadron. [205] »» Ravenwing Bike Squad (1 additional Biker for 4 total, 2x Grav-Guns) [130] »» 1 Ravenwing Land Speeder (2x Multi-Meltas) [75] > Ravenwing Support Squadron. [315] »» 1 Ravenwing Darkshroud »» 2 Ravenwing Land Speeders (Heavy Bolter, Typhoon Missile Launcher) »» 1 Ravenwing Land Speeder (Multi-Melta, Typhoon Missile Launcher) • Librarius Conclave »» Ezekiel [145] »» 3 Librarians (ML2, Force Sword, Auspex, Melta Bombs) [3x100] The plan so far is: attach a Psyker to each of the Tactical Squads, drive them to the middle of the field and sit there, waiting for the enemy to come at me. The fourth Psyker stays with the Devastators, providing them and probably the Support Squadron with buffs. In case I meet an enemy that warrants it, I'll try and get Phase Form from Geokenesis. Speeders should do some good work with it. (Or just roll on Divination for Lascannons) The Company Master is attached to either the Asssault Squad or the Bike Squad depending on the situation - probably to Ravenwing most of the time. This would allow him to Scout, majority Toughness is 5 and the Bikes still get their Jink. He could even occasionally go solo as a distraction since he has a 2+ cover save in ruins. I didn't see much of a point in bringing the Chaplain since the only dedicated melee unit I have is Assault Marines and it seems a bit of a waste to bring him stock with a Jump Pack. And if he isn't stock, I think the 50 point difference is worth it. Would Drop Pods be better for the Tactical Squads? I don't like the idea of having just 2 of them in the enemy's face on turn one as opposed to all 3 of them sticking together and acting as a solid frontline to my other units. Should I perhaps mix and match, and/or try and shuffle around points to give Assault Marines a Drop Pod?
