So I see a lot of different point values here, are there a few staples I should make? I'm most likely going to be playing against random strangers at game shops.

The "Usual" increments are 200 (Kill Team), 500, 1000, 1250, 1500, and 1850 (ITC Tournament list).

I try to have a few pre-made lists at each increment if I show up for a pick up game. A casual list and a competitive.

It does vary a lot at the local level. My previous FLGS did a lot of 1k doubles games, or 1,500 1v1s. The current place I’m going to focuses more on 1,850 and 2k games.

I always have 1850pts lists ready to go. 1500pt games are rare in my area and 2000pts are easy to just add 150 to my 1850 lists.

My local store also does a lot of 750 point games

My store does either 1k doubles or 1500 and 2k singles
