I'm no rumourmonger but here is something new I heard from my GW:

Tzaangors are coming soon.. but they have Autopistols!? So I guess that means 40k.

In the year of GSC coming back, maybe Beastmen coming to 40k isn't a long shot. Like I said, I am no source, just heard it from my GW. But remember GW in the UK often have higher ups visiting and such, a member of the Eavy Metal team regulars this one.

Bring as much salt as you like :p

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Well if they're going to make a full codex out of TSons it would make sense. This is the first time I heard about tzaangors but it appears they are unique to the planet of sorcererors. And I saw some publication where they had rules, so I could totally see GW giving them a do-over. Plus they got models in that AOS board game right?

Honestly? After Deathwatch, Genestealers, (PROBABLY) Plastic SoB, I wouldn't even be surprised if someone released a rumour about Squats. (Heck, they even showed up in BFG Armada)

I do remember from the Ahriman books how the TS had beastmen in their planet. That'd be awesome

Yeah, they are also mentioned in the old Lost and the Damned book from the realm of chaos days, Classic stuff

I'd be perfectly happy with Tzaangors showing up in AoS first. The minis in Silver Tower are great.

I suppose these have made their mark, I look forward to seeing GW's take on 'em!

I'm calling it now: the "Thousand Sons" codex that is on it's way (proof is the Magnus & plastic T-sons that we know are coming) is basically gonna be Tzeentch Daemonkin, but with slightly less emphasis on Daemons and more emphasis on the T-sons legion. But there will be Daemons in the codex and I would not be surprised if Tzaangors are part of the release.
It's about time GW focused on non-Khorne stuff

I don't see how Tzaangors would fit even with some sort of gun. Tzeentch isn't exactly known for it's hand to hand prowess. It works in AoS, because, well, no guns (as readily available option).

They don't have to be good to do it. I mean, Guardsmen aren't exactly known for their HtH prowess, doesn't mean they don't do it (and Sgts can carry melee load outs.)

This is a return to the Chaos Warbands we had in the old days (where my Slaanesh warband had Marines, Daemons and Beastmen) and I am happy to hear even the possibility of it happening. I just hope I enjoy 8th so it all isn't a waste for me!

Mutated Cultists of Tzeentch turned into Beastmen-like Daemons. That's how they would fit in with guns and all.

If so, it's a pretty decent sized release. You've got Magnus, Thousand Sons in power armor, Thousand Sons terminators (have been hinted at) and Tzaangors. That plus a couple characters, Tzeentch daemons, and the normal Chaos Marine vehicles I suppose will make up the faction.

But they come from the same CAD portfolio. Take, say, the computer models of generic 30K Tartaros Pattern Terminators, add 40K bling, change poses, switch a few weapons -> 40K Rubric Terminators. Saves time and effort and costs.

Same for the Tzeentch models. It was a massive design portfolio that included everything from Tzaangors to LoC and Magnus. They may not be the same sprue, but include lots of computer “bitz” and design elements from a large, newly created Tzeentch-design-elements-library.

So, its possible

If SadPanda is right that will be a massive disappointment for me. I want some proper 40k Thousand sons, not some 30k knock-offs.

Bling added to miniatures can turn them into completely different things. Say, replace heads, shoulder pads. a few trims here and there... Think of it as Cars. your 2006 civic probably shares 80% of its components with a 2007.

What the hell. Beastmen in 40k?
I'd like to see Chaos exodites in 40k: Chaos Knights, Warriors, and whatnot.

They look ok, I guess, as far as Tzeench stylings. But I still like people's conversions from Warhammer Gors better.

I still wish they made this a dual kit for 40k and sigmar. Could have easily been done, as the body is the same for both. Would make this kit sell like hotcakes to players of both games.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

What role would Tzaangors play on the battlefield and any ideas on what type of unit they'll be (Troops, Elites e.t.c)?
