Some how Red Dead Redemption did not capture the fun and humor of Red Dead Revolver.

The send up of Westerns (which is a genre I enjoy) became a repetitive grind rehashing the same bit of 'we'll move the plot forward if you just do this one thing...no wait, now do this one thing...no wait....'

Redemption did very little for me becoming bland and repetitive without a motivating story or any real progression, causing me to ultimately give up on it. It also felt too angry vs the sort of tongue in cheek nature of Revolver.
