Man I really can't wait for this. I was a bit miffed when they dropped the Marvel line....really wanted the full Fantastic Four.

This however? This is a good trade.

The big question is whether they're switching over to resin for these. I know those test casts we've seen are in metal, but given the switch with BMG (and possibly the DCUMG? I guess we'll find out when the Justice League Dark set they've been hinting at this month drops) I could see them going resin here as well. It might suit these sculpts quite well, they can do a lot more with large capes/robes and a lot of the designs we've seen look like they'd fit the 1 or 2-piece casting the resin BMG stuff has used.

I believe they are, and it's the source of the delay. Justice League Dark isn't written yet afaik though, despite the October teases. I may be wrong but this is just what I get from oblique comments from Bruno and Mark Latham.

Ah, I had assumed from the FB teases of Constantine and Zatanna that the JLD were coming sooner rather than later.

Alternatively, they're going to surprising us all with a JLD/Potter crossover starter box that sees John Constantine taking up a Supply Teacher post at Hogwarts (now there's a Potter film I'd pay good money to see... )

D
All KM news/rumours that I have heard first hand: Potter is written, due November. There is a movie justice league tie in coming also, more of a world's finest style download, written by Mark. Constantine and Zatana are the start of the magic users but JLD overall is a separate thing.

November seems doubtful to me, mainly because they'd have to spend the full month on Harry Potter releases when it's the same month Justice League comes out. It's all but guaranteed we're getting some JL releases, and releasing (or at least announcing) them the month of the movie release is the logical thing to do from a promotion POV

This is just for the Harry Potter one, there’s a different thread for the Batman/DC games

Yes I apologise for the slight threadjack. November was what I'd originally been told by KM, but these things are moveable feasts as we know.

Well we're steaming towards January and we've heard nothing for months. And it seems the admins on t e facebook page are applying the same approach to community engagement as they do on the Batman one. A thread asking if anyone body else's enthusiasm was waning was shut down. There's a joke in there about Spain and fascism, but I really can;t drag up the level of caring required to make one.

I believe it was mentioned a while back that the delay was due to the switch to resin production (the early casts we saw were metal), and I imagine the big BMG 2nd Ed release probably pushed things back a bit.

I do think KM showed their hand too early with this one though. It was first teased in the Suicide Squad book over a year ago and still doesn't seem that close to release unless there's been a lot of work going on behind the scenes despite some very busy months for BMG.

Still looking forward to some of the models, especially now KM's prices are less mad!

I’d heard the issue was waiting on approval of the sculpts from the people who own the HP license, but yeah, otherwise ziltch for months. The game’s virtually dead in my mind already.

HP is ready, cast and in warehouses, it's the double licensing whammy of WB and JKR having to sign off on everything. They're caught in a real bind because their contract with WB limits what they can discuss openly. I have quite a lot of sympathy for them even though it has been an almighty balls-up.

KM. I have a pretty good working relationship with them through reviewing bmg stuff for bigcomicpage.com . Ruleset was finished last November, if you can believe it

So we are still left wondering whether Ron Wealey or Batman would win in a fight.

Well, I got a Bat Mite promo from Knight models after Gencon weekend, but it was miscast( didn’t see it had no legs through the package). I emailed them september1st with no response and then again back on September 9th. I just got a response from the September 9th email today. Now I have to find where I packed him and send them a photo.

Their service isn’t non-existent, just three months behind .
