Why is everyone assuming that every faction is going to be sky pirates from now on?

Scourge Privateers are already out.
The Black Ark Corsairs, Fleetmaster, Scourgerunner Chariot, and Kharibdyss are all Scourge Privateer stuff at the moment.

Grotbag Scuttlers maybe, but since we don't even get the Kharadon stuff until late April...or know literally anything about them other than "sky pirates" and "Grots", it's pretty difficult to definitively say:
"Yes these are Grotbag Scuttlers"
or
"No these are not Grotbag Scuttlers"

What we do know is that there has been rumblings from reliable rumormongers about Shadowkin coming, and since we know as little about them as we do the Grotbag Scuttlers...

I think it might be an undead skypirate ship, that hooked a giant fishman as bait for a huge cthulhu monster.

Have we heard absolutely anything from any rumormonger about another ship-based faction? Not that I'm aware of. What we have heard (from one of our most reliable sources) is that we are likely to get a Lovecraftian Aelf faction and Skaven, neither of which have been mentioned in conjunction with "sky pirates".

And "Lovecraftian" could basically mean anything from any of Lovecraft's works. It's not an exceedingly helpful term, yet people are immediately jumping on it as meaning "tentacle monsters".

Never mind that a big part of Lovecraft's works deals with forbidden knowledge; say something that Malerion and his followers have cribbed from their enslavement of Slaanesh...

Metalwork looks like it could be goblin, to me. That doesn't automatically mean sky pirates though; it could be holding back/down a giant squid-beast of some kind…

I don't think so, no - but it could be a modelling option we've not seen yet.

I still think it looks more Mechanicus than Dwarf.

It could be new skavens even.

The blue is very similar to the ¿aether gold? from Kharadron

And the "disks" are very ork/gretchin from 40k..

And sometimes they only paint the bits that will be shown in the photos or on the boxes. True Fac. The plastic river trolls, for example, have no shading or highlights on the back

I'm pretty confident this is mechanicus.
The backpack of the datasmith is very similar. The 40k story also seems to be setting up new mechanicus stuff.
