I love this thread

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

How did you wound a dread knight? I thought auto-guns are Strength 3.

Dreadknights are T6 right? That means S3 wounds against dreadknights on 6s.

You didn't start anything, sorry if you felt I accused you. It's just some people on this forum get touchy about walkers which get the MC rule.

Lolol nice nice!

I had a lonely Terminator (not a Sergeant) with the TH/SS combo route an XV8 Commander and an XV8 Body Guard Team before the XV8's got torn apart by my Dreadnought as they fled. Not quite as as epic, but if one Termy can cause 4x quite powerful models (relatively speaking) too flee - that's pretty solid haha

Glad we're back on track with the positive thread.

I had a lone fire dragon survive several turns of heavy fire much to my opponents chagrin. It was my first game.

Just had another strain of luck. It was a fantasy battle this time, Greenskins vs Skaven, and my opponent rolled 8 ones, and one 2 for hitting (And he needed a 4+ to hit).

I wish I had guys with hand flamers who can wipe out Terminator squads.

But I play CHAOS. We don't get OP toys like that in our lists.

It's incredibly OP! A Marine getting a template without paying the full points for a flamer is SHENANIGANS and needs a nerf, NOW!

Noting the tongue in cheek, I will say this: The Hand Flamer is terribly over priced for what you get. It''s a pistol flame template weapon with S:3 AP:- that costs the same as a meltagun (or, two flamers). I realize you're being sarcastic in your reply but it still makes me sigh heavily when I look at that weapon, and just face palm when someone says or thinks they're OP.

I love them, but feel they are terribly over priced for what they are. I'd much rather they be S:4 AP:6 or hell even S:4 AP:-. Something to justify costing as much as a meltagun.

My .02 cents. Take it easy.

You don't know me son, so I'll explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

Had a single marine sergeant kill/run down a blob of twenty kroot.

Once had a Librarian whiff against fire warriors and then get clubbed to death by their pulse rifles.

That old Librarian model tended to fail in CC. Maybe that's why marine characters don't like helmets...

In an attempt to tie it up in close combat, had 4 guardsmen charge a riptide with 3 wounds left. 4 guardsmen killed a riptide with bayonets.

My other favorite was a bullgryn bone ead and his priest buddy taking on and killing 3 terminators and Belial, all with TH/SS.

EDIT: bone ead did have maul, meaning rerollable 5++ to save a million wounds

I once had a LSS keep a 20 man necron warrior with a lord with an orb blinded for 3 turns. Also - several failed assaults against it as well. The scouts inside unloadon the unit for 3 turns too - killing more than twice their number! I love LSS.

Not quite as epic as some of the stories here, but I have a few good ones.

First was in early 6th playing Vanilla SM against Ravenwing with Sammael. Put two wounds on Sammy first turn, then watched in absolute glee as he overheated with his Plasma Cannon, failed his armor save and gave me First Blood and Slay the Warlord at the same time, on his turn.

Second was epic for my opponent, again playing vanilla SM trying out everyone's favorite bike Chapter Master. It was late into the game and he charged a lone Firewarrior. Who promptly hit and wounded with both overwatch shots and also his melee swing. I failed all three saves and he dropped down to one wound, unfortunately the brave Firewarrior got Thunder Hammered, but it was still epic.

Lastly, against everyone's favorite Eldar daemon prince of war. The Avatar was leading a huge group of Storm Guardians, swarming my Tactical Squads and rapidly gaining ground. I had one chance left as my Librarian stepped up and let out a Psychic Shriek, my last real option before they got to charge range. My opponent picked up his dice and rolled a 17 on the leadership test. Pretty sure chunks of Avatar brain are still in low orbit around that planet due to his head blowing up so hard.
