So, I decided to do a Tyranid army. I have 24 genestealers from the space hulk game, 1 broodlord from the space hulk game, and a new big broodlord model. I also have a box of 32mm imperial deck plate bases by gw and three 75mm oval bases. I plan to paint them dark browns and bronzes, like the xenomorphs in the Aliens (2nd movie) actually were, not black. I'll add saliva/acid from the jaws with a caulk like modeling epoxy. I plan to add 5 dead marine scouts with scion shoulder lamps, they look closest to Colonial Marines, and paint them accordingly to the movie look. I'll use ripper swarms, painted flesh, to give the feeling of chestbursters, and add some ripper jacks painted flesh (facehuggers) and Tyranid bio growths (that kinda eggy looking growtth thing). No real conversions, but an Aliens look and feel. All GW minis and bits (I only game at an GW location). So, any one have any modeling and/or list suggestions?

Not sure what you're going for...Maybe run GSC Brood cycle..? GSC Stealers are better, and a first curse with Patriarch is both fluffy, and pretty buff. Add in some Telepathy tricks and you have a decent force that sticks to a theme.

The will of the hive is always the same: HUNGER

Sounds good! I'd second the First Curse suggestion too - it's not my favourite formation but it's plenty nasty, and it fits your needs to a tee.

Find 3rd Edition Hive Tyrants. They are the Alien Queen, without question, and GW official. If you can track down some 3rd Edition Forge World Tyrants or Flyrants, you got some gold. I have one of the Flyrants and she's a beauty on the table. The walking Tyrant though is still prolly the best looking 'flesh and blood' model GW has ever made though. Very dynamic without being weird looking.

+1. Consider using them kitbashed with the Tervigon for the Alien Broodmother?
