So, how did everyone do this Christmas for AoS? Did Santa-Sigmar bring lots of goodies?

Me? I managed to snag a Squig-Gobba, Giant Chaos Spawn and a simply massive Bonegrinder Giant!

Sadly no job, so have to be content with what I have and putting it together slowly.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Just a box of chaos Warriors, sadly. I also treated myself Saturday to the start collecting nurgle Daemon box to kick off my new Army. The annoying part is going to be assembling them because I hate assembling figures

Our Lord and (Undead) Saviour Nagash was kind enough to send me a SC: Skeleton horde box and got me a Plagueclaw from those filthy Skaven so I can turn it into a Screaming Skull Catapult, so I've got my work cut out for me!

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Skeleton Start Collecting bundle. Looking forward to painting it up, just a little disappointed with the Battleline options Death gets, so it may end up just being something to display... which is quite alright with me.

I got a Thunderfist.

I'm snagging models form it to finally round up my 1000pts 6/7th ed pirate Orcs list, though (I actually don't remember, started them 10 years ago o.O). The giant will be a mercenary canon, the warboss can be turned into a Bioshock Big Dadd (or is that Big Mekky?) unit filler for my main unit of Orcs, a goregrunta will donate its body to be modified into a nice steampunk jetski and but I still need regular boars and a Kommandoz Nob, because there's NO way those gruntas will fit into hamster wheels to power the two chariots/hovercrafts I still have to built. Two Brutes already received a terrible Lustrian curse (and the Sigmarine-with-jawz and orc-skull-with-jawz shoulder pad bits as heads), to make them into Pirates of the Carribean/Legion Orc the Damned dudes and at least one grunta dude will follow. I figure I can use them as merc ogre Maneaters. Or play Hinterlands with them, if my brother wants to get into it.

The Sylaneth BF for my bro sadly fell through, the store did not get *any* copies from GW to fulfill their preorders, my Garden of Mor and plastic wood were posted on the 23rd -'cuz Wayland slept on confirming the payment for two weeks until I contacted them- and my swamp battle mat is rather dark, so I don't know if I will keep it.

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

I decided to use my Christmas money to start a Sylvaneth army. Picked up a Darkroot Wargrove off Amazon, and I have a buddy that was about to start the army, but switched to Death before actually opening anything, so I'll be grabbing his battletome and SC box for cheap. My FLGS also has a stack of nine Wyldwoods that someone donated to the shop still on the sprues. They said they'd give me one hell of a deal on them! After I pick up a couple extra Dryads, Revenants, and Hunters, I should still be able to pick up Alarielle and have a pretty damn solid army for a little less than $400

Got a Darkroot Wargrove that I ordered for myself. Have some cash saved up for Tzaanguary. Also got the Sylvaneth Battletome as an actual gift. Yay!

@Entyme

Yeah, for me I grabbed one SC when it was halfprice and then got around 30% off the Wargrove. So once I add the last SC I'm sitting at a decent 2k list with some options for less than $300

I got a gift card that became 2 boxes of Kurnoth Hunters & Alarielle.

That and an absurd number of Genestealer Cult minis. 40k, I know, but still part of the haul.

"I have concluded through careful empirical analysis and much thought that somebody is looking out for me, keeping track of what I think about things, forgiving me when I do less than I ought, giving me strength to shoot for more than I think I am capable of. I believe they know everything that I do and think, and they still love me. And I’ve concluded, after careful consideration, that this person keeping score is me." -Adam Savage

Well, it is now a fact that i got more than glue. I opened my door today to find a package from my sister. it had the spire of dawn set in it.

i am both excited and horrified. Excited because it's an amazing gift! and horrified because my project list is already too long...

and i'm going to need to buy more glue.

Yeah. I was down to less than a dozen unpainted minis before I decided to pick up two Battleforces and start a new army this month.

You guys are so lucky.

I have never been able to convince anybody but my dear old mum that I am really happy with GW vouchers.

And yet apparently I don't have enough socks or woolly hats...:-D

My mother once asked me what models she could buy me for my birthday. I actually went to the webstore, added three or four kits and some paints I needed to the shopping cart. I told her she could go to the store where I play and ask them to order anything or nothing from the list she wanted to. She said "I'll just give you cash".

I would love a new wooly hat. it's cold here!

i'm less lucky in this case and this is more that i'm doing a huge favor for my sister in a month. she did tell me she was sending me something as a thank you, but i was expecting an amazon card or some such! Iyt was a very pleasant surprise.

I generally have never asked for hobby related things other than paints or glue, though. i figure the plastic guys themselves are either too pricy or confusing.
