How did you do the skin tone? I've never tried skin so dark yet.

It wasn't too hard. A coat of old Scorched Brown (in the current GW range it is Rhinox Hide), a shade of Nuln Oil, and then highlights of Doombull Brown on the more prominent facial features like the brow, cheekbones, and nose. Simple, yet effective.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

My votes this month go to...

Nev, Ezra and Elbows and methebest for nice, clean work, simple but striking!

Bottle, Modock, Gundor and Peregrine for some absolutely top notch paintwork, inspiring stuff!

Midget Gems and ZoBo because of course, and Whittlesey for pointing out that it's not just Orks that can get in on the Christmas spirit!

Also really liked Albinoork, feltmonkey and El_Torminator's work, so a vote each for them as well!

Time to announce the winners, entries that stood out even in a month of fantastic entries!

In third place, Gundor2's superbly gritty rendition of the Death Guard's Calas Typhon:

Taking second, Midget Gems' Santa Klaws, making a list and checking it... as many times as an Ork can count to...

And taking the win, Bottle's Genestealer Culists! Viva The 8-Armed Revolution!

Fantastic work all round, see you next month!

Congratulations to the winners, all very worthy as ever! Bottle is making a habit of winning these, quite deservedly I must say.

I do feel that Peregrine should consider himself very unlucky to miss out. That wrecked tank is fantastic.

Thanks to everyone who voted for me, and thanks to Bottle, ZergSmasher, Midget Gems, Modock, Moolet, and Paradigm for the kind comments and feedback.

On to January and Rogues and Scoundrels! Makes me wish I hadn't painted my Imperial Assault Han Solo already.

By one vote at the last second! *shakes fist*

But really, thanks to everyone who voted for me and left comments!

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Thanks to everyone who voted for me! I will say that this month the podium was very hotly contested with Peregrine and feltmonkey both missing out by a vote or two. I also feel I am somewhat over represented in the amount of votes I got and some entries (Modock and Moolet especially) were overlooked by most it seems. Of course I am very happy to be voted the winner :-) you all love my GSC it seems as all 3 of my victories so far have been with them - the challenge is to reach the top spot with something else! :-D

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Thanks to y'all for voting, not too bad IMO for my first time entering. No Rogues or Scoundrels in my models, so i'll be stepping out this month.
