Any time a model with combat heels or a bare midriff is released, they come out. Any time a model is standing on a rock/helmet/peice of broken building, they come out. Any time a model is holding its gun up rather than pointing it forward looking down the sights, they come out.
You just have to sit here or on the official boards during preview releases to see it.

They're limited edition, so a proper resculpt should still be on the cards. My guess is when they get put in one of those rumoured mercenary sectorials with a higher AVA to justify a 4 model box.

Of course you've seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The Official Forum, like Camelot, is a very silly place indeed. It is rife with these "SJW's"-- at least as I understand the term. They have generated hundred of pages (IIRC) of comments on the usual subjects. I, proudly, have never read them. Well, every so often, a quick skim of a few comments just to confirm my own biases. And maybe do a bit of drive-by trolling
We all have our peeves, no? I dislike the tactical debris on bases. It's a pragmatic thing. I am a slow painter, and that stuff is just something more to paint-- slowing me even further-- that has nothing to do with the mini. However, looking at the tactical debris on the 'landing on his fat ass' Fat Yuan Yuan, I can see that it is a part of the mini, the pulpibeer joke part. So, no complaints about it from me.
My complaint is pending discovery of how difficult it will be to get the Fat Yuan-Yuan. The minis are just right. CB hit this one well out of the park. We'll find out on the morrow.

Interesting stuff, lads. I know there can be little ripples here at times but I had no idea it was the tip of an iceberg, I'll be heading over to see what this is all about. I'm a one forum kind of guy, always have been so I'm kind of insulated I guess, I should get out more. I didn't even know what an SJW was until I looked it up yesterday and I'm still not convinced they exist.
I'm pretty split on the Fat Yuan Yuan release. For every element I like there is one, or two, I don't.
Fat Yuan Yuan and Manga go up for preorder tomorrow(March 13).
I'm looking forward to the manga. I bought the first Art Book as it was something I wanted to see them continue doing things like that. I was disappointed by it in comparison to other Art Books I got at the time(Titanfall, Mass Effect, etc)--but it's still something that others have enjoyed. So I'll pay up for the Manga, hope it's good and at the worst I got that sweet Knauf model for a new Hexa Sniper.

I'm pretty sure that I'll end up getting both of these.
I didn't get the whole "Fat Yuan-yuan" thing initially, but thinking about how it developed from a forum joke into something that was actually developed, without being too silly makes me smile.
Okay, it's pretty silly compared to most of the stuff in Infinity, but still not immersion breaking and no worse than a bunch of Bakunin guys doing Guardians of the Galaxy cosplay. Still don't get the Tohaa-Pokemon things, though!
The manga should be pretty cool (even though it looks like it's going to be the wrong way round :-p) and it's nice to see CB fleshing out the universe in an atypical way.

So I watched the BoW video and it was mentioned that there will be another announcement tomorrow on their site, via video I assume, that is something "no one else knows about".
I'm assuming it's whatever boxset they'll be selling at gencon this year or the paridsio rework. Though, since this was filmed weeks ago I guess it could be the Yuan Yuan.

ITS rules that if you attempt to use either the Blackjack or Locust in any other army, even outside ITS, you auto-forfeit and have to burn your minis.

I love that Carlos made comments about the futuristic hardbodies, and that this had been sort of sculpted quite awhile ago and turned down. Then revisited and modified. He even mentions the female Wulvers.
I like that they are in on the joke, and didn't actually have to spend a bunch of new resources on this.
It kind of puts a damper on the people complaining.
Consider this order for sure, not that there was any doubt.
Now, on to a Blackjack campaign!

What he said was he had a concept drawing of a fat guy for the O-12 bootleg mini and it was rejected. It wasn't anything to do with this release, he just mentioned it because it was another fat guy concept.
They already had the old concept drawing obviously but they basically started from scratch using it as a jumping off point. This cost no fewer resources than any release. Probably more.
I like the character it adds to the setting so I'll grab it but I'm not in love with it and there are plenty of things I'd rather have. A fat guy/gal version of something without a model yet with optional noodle eating arms would be even better.
I'll wait and see what Miniature Market charges. I have 'points' with them. These 2 and the BS Yuan-Yuan from Red Veil will be all the Yuan-Yuan I need.
So much for my resolution to buy no new minis until I paint the ones I have The noodle eater looks like a blast to paint though.
