Tarik is a S5 model.

I don't think your going to be able to get a S5 Tarik to sit on a 25mm base unless it's made from lead. Much better to just put a spitfire on the khwarij that comes in Red Veil.

Why should Tarik ever be in 25mm base?

S5 is S5 and comes with S5 base.

You seem to be missing an earlier comment where someone wanted to use the Spitfire Tarik as the Spitfire Kwarji.
This is where this conversation was coming from before you popped in to remind people that Tarik is S5.

People were complaining about Spitfire Tarik being in the Red Veil expansion. I suggested using him as a Khawarij instead. Depending on how he's posed, I'm betting he could be squeezed onto a smaller base. That is, if you actually care about base sizes and whatnot.

On the subject of Tarik, how much bigger than the new Khawarij is he?

He's, from what I can recall(I don't have either at hand right now, closer to the size of Ajax than a standard Line Infantry.
I should also add that I'm not surprised to see Tarik with this set. It goes along with their whole "Must keep SKUs down!" and since there's already an AP Rifle version for sale, why not keep the other version in a box?

The new Khawarij is the same size as the old one, and this pic shows Tarik next to the old one. He's quite a lot bigger. Ajax sized.

None of those silhouettes are Tarik. Far right is a Muyib or a Barid I think, but that's also been their 'generic silhouette before so might not mean much.

Just to further clarify: The initial commentary about Tarik had nothing to do with the teaser post. Dakka autoappends things, and I tend to erase that when I have to do edits.
I had to do an edit after they posted the Twitter image since the Twitter images tend not to get work-blocked while the FB ones do.

Right now, most of the reasonable discussion is saying that the CSU is in that preview of the Haqqislam side.
I'm, personally, leaning towards that being the case as one of the mentions of the CSUs has a comment about how they can be found in the borderlands gussied up in tactical gear like a soldier. Some of us are starting to lean towards the far right or middle silhouettes as being the CSU with the Ragik being the far left and the Fiday being whatever is left over.

There's some who are trying to say that the far right is Tarik "mini-sized" right now, but that hasn't left the Infinity forums as far as I know.

Yup, was just quoting the first post with the image on my phone.

That was more my last desperate hope that Tarik isn't actually part of this set, because holy balls that's a huge waste of a mini.

Waste how? Taking up a slot that could be filled by a profile that needs a resculpt? I can think of a number of minis that I would rather see included. The Asawira for example.

Honestly, this is the only way I would get an over-sized Tarik. I have the original, and no interest in getting the current freakish thing. The Azra'il and Al Fasid both work as S5 mini TAGs, but a human not in powered armor? Nope. Nope. And Nope.

He's part of the Ramah Task Force, which has "supersoldiers" as part of its fluff. The Khawarij are subjected to the "Runihura"('Destructor') formula and he was one of the first to undergo it. Somehow his body reacted differently and now he's an unaging colossus.

Check the N3 book for the fluff on it.

Read p 93 in the N3 book. It works a lot better than you might think...

Sure there is, but at least you're getting it as a general availability model. Anyone who wants the Unknown Ranger with Rifle and didn't get it from GenCon is SOL.

I'm aware of the super-jump advantage, and disadvantage. Super-sized Tarik is quite the ARO generator once he starts leaping over buildings obstacles in a single bound.

Speaking of GenCon, what is the rest of the bundle rumored to be. Obviously the two 'expansions' but there is generally a 'something else'. A Limited Edition... Blackjack? (Yeah, I'm trolling.)

Angel posted on Facebook we should see the Gencon LE sometime in a "few weeks" so not really helpful.

He is panting October's releases and the pallet for one he showed looks PanO, possibly joan as he's got some yellow on the pallet.

While I've got no problems with the S5 Tarik (I really like the current model), the fact is he has a current model. Even the excuse that he has two weapon profiles, that's never been a concern for CB. Proxying is 100% okay.

There's other models that deserve a spot there. Non-DoctorAP Rifle Jannisary, non-Doctor AP Rifle Djanbazan. If they needed SWC, Asawira Spitfire resculpt.

They are some perplexing choices.
Haqq could use plain Khawarijs, a new Asawira, among other possible resculpts... any one might be more useful than another sculpt of Tarik.

But oh well, betters can't be choosers.

He may well be linkable with Khawarij. Their sectorial isn't out yet.

Maybe trying new things and ideas? its the second paramedic model we have seen (well announced anyway) and both happened this year.

Please, try to sell me Bolt Paramedic...
