Grabbed Beyond Red Veil. After building Wyrds jigsaw puzzle plastics for the last few months, it was a pleasant surprise to dig out the Fiday and it's only 3 pieces.
Usual gorgeous sculpts that I'm dreading painting.

Yep, and the winner played PanO for the most part...

They may also play CA, or like the story connotations or something.
What happened to the other 2?

They played PanO to win, the characters should go to the faction that was played for the win.
It's known that he also plays CA which is fine and dandy, but the whole "We're going to give the characters to whatever faction the winner wants" was flawed from the get-go.

Meh, I think I'm happier with the idea of "I power game with this faction to win support for the faction I love but don't find as competitive" a better narrative than "The best factions win new toys".
Neither is a correct view of the situation, but I don't think its wrong for the winner to have the ability to choose what he feels is best for the game regardless of what made him the winner in the first place.

here will be a Collector's Limited Edition of Aristeia! that will include exclusive material and an additional copy of the miniatures in metal. It will be available to pre-order on October 26th, 2017.

I do.
It's one thing for a fluff thing to happen, something else entirely for a game profile.

Well that is a reversal. Carlos told me at GenCon there would be no Aristeia metals. Know several other people also asked him, so must have felt the demand was there.

Not the usual CB quality with metal but average board game plastics.
The thing is that I still don't know if I'm gonna enjoy this game so much that I might want to pick up the Metal Edition.
Depends on many other factors right now...

Has anyone had a chance to use the Kriza Borac yet?
I have mine from the Beyond Ice Storm set but I have not had a chance to use him yet, what with the delays in the pre-orders coming in at our end.
From what I can see he is pretty expensive but seems to function like a miniature TAG. However he does seem just that little bit too expensive when compared to his competitors, especially the Pan-O HI's, which seem to get better things for a cheaper price.
Also, for some strange reason, the Lieutenant profile with the 360 visor costs a point more than the none lieutenant option - orat least it does in the official army builder. Is this a typo?

This is great news - I know I'll be picking it up in metal!

Why?
The faction didn't win ITS, correct? The player did?

I need to save those Aristea pictures, for the next time local Infinity players will feel cocky enough to claim that expertise with metal casting transfers equally well to plastic casting.

You'll need to explain your reasoning and post some comparisons.
BJ's machete still doesn't look well to me, however USA does look nice in light brown colours.

Not sure that a valid comparison can be made until we have them in our hands. The metal ones are being introduced because players asked and so that they can be used in games of Infinity too, not because they're worried that their plastics are crap.

For me, personally, it just kind of feels gimmicky. "Hey, the best player in the world gets to add a unit to whatever faction they want!"--they then pick their alternate army while playing a list that had nothing to do with that alternate army.

The machete is rather bland looking. There are many other styles of machete that would have looked cooler. They gave the chest mine a claymore detail. The mini itself, looks impressive. It also looks gecko sized.
