Ah, $12 or $13 depending upon what the MSRP is, for the extra arm, tinbot and crazy koalas. That seems less loco.

With a what now?
On the render, the tactical junk is an Umbra. It is reaching up and groping Jeanne D'Arc's thigh.

Ah right, thanks. I thought it was some kind of new weapon I'd missed.

Ha!

I thought it was an 'autocorrect mistake'!

Turns out it was just a very accurate description!

The pose is based on that famous painting called "Liberty Leading The People"-- Or so it seems. However, on the mini, the sword is upraised instead of the tricolor.

I do hope that the hand is not attached to the mini itself. That way it can be easily left out. Otherwise it ruins a perfectly good mini.

I like her - not as much as I like the 'Saber' LE figure, but as a Joan d'Arc figure she works well and looks far better than the old models. The Umbra is a bit.... Odd though.
If it is not attached to her (IE, the hand is not actually grabbing the thigh) I will probably remove it and put in a rock or boulder instead. Or even a vanquished TAG.....

Anyway, a new Joan model that both looks good and means I dont have to risk my LE model is great news.

Hmmm... Lame.. I guess I'll just buy the LE version from my friend, even if it's a bit overpriced.

Bummer. Ah well, I can always try to mimic the colour scheme of my local CA player as a form of indirect prod.

It's a stupid thing to have done -- if true.

The half-mini of the Umbra is very distracting from the Jeanne D'Arc, and doubly distracting because of the position of its hand. This is terrible design, or composition, or what have you.

Purportedly, a few people who asked at GenCon were told by Bostria that it was.

And I can't really see any way for that to work without it being attached.

I was thinking it is raised in the air in a "you've KILLED meeeeeee...." Dramatic pose. The angle of the render just makes the hand line up with the thigh.

Bostria may be meaning it is attached as in to the foot.

So I heard on Twitter via Corvus Belli that Warcors got some sort of interesting news or information or something regarding Aristeia. Anything that people are willing and allowed to share?

I like her, although her legs do seem a little large in that picture.

Don't worry mate. There's literally nothing that's the norm for CB. Scale, releases, sudden rule changes and what not. They are one of the least consistent companies I've ever seen.

Really? What were you doing between 2000 and 2015?

Breathing. What's your point?

Point was that if you think CB dicks people around more than GW under Kirby then you're more than a little myopic.

Wow.. I thought it was one of the picks recently, love the idea and the touch of 'human' to things that are very much removed from humanity, it's as cool as hell. Can see it being popular just with painters/collectors, if nothing else.

Subjective and all that though!

Hospitallers aren't on the 2017 schedule. Should be soon though.

Also...that Umbra hand is modeled onto her leg.

It is. I really dig the pose, it doesn't at all look like it's groping her, and actually reminds me of one of my favourite Malifaux models.

Spoiler:

I just ignore the pose comments these days because every single month people complain about some pose. 'Tactical debris sucks!', 'Pinup poses suck!', 'It's not looking down the barrel, it sucks!'.

Honestly the Infinity community has become the new GW community in regards to moaning about every single release.

And I find it baffling beyond belief that you somehow manage to interpret the statement "one of the least consistent", as somehow that's me saying that it's THE least consistent of ALL companies. Not sure if this is trolling or not...

From left to right:
Unrecognizeable(the case is kind of cutting it off), Combi Rifle, HMG, "come at me" generic sword pose.

I have a feeling that there's just going to be the Combi and HMG with actual representation and the other two can be proxies.
