Well, the thought of an all-in-one Eldar army isn't a shock considering what we've already seen.

But until we know what units can't be taken it's kind of going to be awkward.

If you include FW formations that makes 4 all-in-one armies now of a sort.

I agree that Ynnead probably will not defeat Slaanesh. At best, He'll severe the connection to She who Thirsts so that when an Eldar dies, their soul goes peacefully into Ynnead, who in turn uses that power to further protect & enhance the living Eldar somehow.

Does that result in the Eldar race reincarnating their souls though? Or just feed nurgle now?

The Khaine Gate bit seems to be confirmed by a few peeps on the Eldar Facebook group who have the French WD.
Apparently Vect has been anticipating it for a while and has other Webway pockets with resources to escape to. But Commoragh is done.
Still could be fake, but it seems to mess up with what we know so far.

Given that Commoragh is not one single place in the warp, I doubt it's done.

Sorry, I didn't mean like totally done, just....more dangerous, if that's even possible.
In the Path of the Archon books, Commoragh's sister city Shaadom was plunged into Dysjuntion (by Vect himself) long ago and it still has deamons running around in it.

A couple things wrong. Commoragh wasn't a sister city, just one of the sub-realms of the Dark City. Also, it didn't have disjunction in it, but a full on warp rift. Commoragh has had disjunctions before and survived. In fact, Path of the Archon is about the City dealing with one and surviving.

So this new Eldar faction are getting Black Guardians?
But they aren't getting models either?

Everything about this release is so weird to me.
I thought gw didn't put out rules for stuff without models anymore.

If they quietly kill off Wraith Eldar and leave crap like Tau Battlesuit nonsense intact, GW will again prove they have no idea what they are doing.

You wot? What's wrong with Battlesuits?

It's not specifically a Tau issue, it's a MC/GMC issue but tau happen to have some of the best of those units. My tactical squad costs the same as a Tau players riptide yet as I take wounds my units combat effectiveness gets worse, that riptide is just as effective on it's last wound as it was on it's first. Vehicles on the other end of the spectrum get worse as they are damaged, can be one shot killed and even suck when they move )probably the greatest sin since a tank is designed to be a mobile gun base )

Your tac squad can claim objectives with objsec. You also don't die to one force weapon. Nor from a psychic shriek or two. You're also a troops choice. Personally, as a Thousand Sons player, I love seeing Riptides and Stormsurges on the other side of the field. NOTHING feels better than to Treason of Tzeentch a Stormsurge and wipe out a Broadside unit or Riptide.

I can't even tackle how bad this argument is. Truly, beyond words. I'm thankful your not helping develop 8th ed

Am I wrong though? Do you die to a single force weapon? Do you die to a single Psychic Shriek? Can Riptides beat you in objsec?

Am I wrong?

.

This is such a weak argument its incredible. Are you playing 5th ed grey knights? What armies are running around with viable amounts of fast, high strength Ap2 force? Psychic shriek averages 10 or 11 wounds, riptides are ld9 thats 2 wounds before that 5++(3++) 5+++ I literally almost spit my coffee when you suggested a single psychic shriek was a viable counter to riptides. Riptides can beat a 200 point tac squad on objectives easily, they just kill you before jetpack maneuvering onto that objective lol.

Fact don't care about your anecdotal "evidence." Anecdotal stories have far too many unknowns and variables.

Black guardians have models, you just paint normal guardians black like all Ulthwe.

And from the photos we've seen of them it appears they can mix and match upgrades for Defenders and Storm Guardians. (The photo shows Defenders with a platform AND a few Storm Guardians with power weapons in the same squad.)

Chaos players finally got their Legions back after 9 years, so maybe the Aeldari™ can get their Craerfwyrld™ rules back.

Yup, that's the one where they should have just not discussed anything instead of blatantly and publicly lying. You don't think that they're now not being told to avoid comparing the 40k TymeTM of EndyngTM to the AOS/WHFB End Times under the same pains due to the subsequent fallout?

Didn't one of their designers(Jervis?) even deny release like literally week before balloon went up?

Though who knows they might have learned since then that secrecy for sake of secrecy ain't neccessarily best of ideas.

Wanting a super secret release is totally different to this. They have made a big deal about this narrative for 30 years of 40k - that's what we're getting. That's what they have explicitly said. The universe is not blowing up just as all simple logic dictates. Endlessly rehashing tinfoil hat theories that have no basis is just tiresome to read.

You are genuinely wasting your time Vorian. Your post will most like be construed as 'moaning about moaning'.

But lets keep talking about something that has been already explicitly ruled out!

Except that the only thing explicitly ruled out in that quote is blowing up the universe and that it is called the end times.
Anything else is people reading into it what is not actually there.

Your last point is especially laughable and comical, because not only the 7th ed Valkyrie shown dumber things (like being able to throw the troopers without parachutes out of its hatches, no harm done) - Irbis

They are trying to have an exciting event for their anniversary. We are here trying to enjoy part of said event.

What we aren't here to do is play semantic games with them to rule in or out various crack pot theories people have plucked from the aether

The bigger question for me is just how the hell are you meant to pronounce Ynnead?! They were saying it completely differently to I'd always imagined it on the steam

I've been saying it as "ye-need". I have no idea how to actually pronounce it. Might have to wait for a Robo Duncan Rhodes painting video to hear how he pronounces it? lol.
