It makes sense that it'll be Dorn rather than Guilliman. FW already has the Boy in Blue and a plastic 40k version would look the same so why go there? FW Dorn has been awaited for years and not done. Makes sense FW would leave him be if GW planned him in plastic. Like Guilly, you only need one version for both 30 and 40k unlike the Chaos equivalents who would benefit from pre and post Daemon versions.

I wonder if we'll get some articles on making Eldar terrain seeing as the fighting takes place on a craftworld.

Blood angels have a long rivalry with black legion and Dante's been prophecised (kind of... maybe) to die making the ultimate sacrifice in order to save the imperium.

Well, GW did just release Daemon Fulgrim in plastic...

Personally of the choices I'd love to see the Lion most but Guilliman is just as likely. Or maybe everyone will be surprised when the Khan rides in....nah.

I hope post book three there is continued books in a short span of time, just so EVERYONE gets new toys. At the moment its looking like Tau, 'Nids, and Orks are getting jack, and two of those armies urgently need some love.

As for theories of the 13th Black Crusade being stopped, if only by the skin of the teeth of the IoM and the Eldar, well, I can't say the "14th Black Crusade" that would presumably come afterwards has quite the same ring.

Stormcasts? Please, Davor, 40k wishes it had something half as interesting as stormcasts instead of this bunch of long-lived roid monkeys.

Blood angel's aren't a very numerous chapter but they have plenty of times been there when the Imperium was at its direst. Siege of terra, horus heresy, WAAAGH! Beast, you name it and at least a successor has been there. Sanguinius was the guy who sacrificed himself to save the emperor's ass, so I'd not be surprised Dante (who thinks this may be the moment to do his "final duty"-sacrifice himself for the Imperium) was the one chosen.

Well the first cover was Abbadon but we didn't get an Abby miniature, so the last could well be the Emperor, Custodes, Celestine, Dante, etc and not get a mini of it. Or get it later.... Also Part 1 & 2 has been the good guys, if the third is the good guys again as minis this could get boring fast.

The other option I see is this being the first trilogy (Gathering storm) and then having a second trilogy where we have minis of the bad guys chaos, tyranids orks even necrons. If Part 1 of GS was january and part 2 is feb part 3 could come in march, with 3 more months of releases for the second trilogy and 8th ed for the summer, then new codexes starting maybe with chaos or sisters in autumn. (sisters rumours, new abbadon mini)

Well, considering that cawl and Celestine from the first triumvirate are virtually unkillable, and the only army GW likes buffing more than imperial ones are eldar, and plus I've heard some rumor of an all-eldar detachment where killed units strengthen remaining ones, I would expect some pretty crazy OP stuff from this book.

I'm going to make a wild speculation and say T6 guardians.

You people do realise it's Simon Grant thats the rules writer, not Phil Kelly.

Does it? The twitch stream yesterday didn't explicitly mention much in the way of fighting on Biel-Tan and he did say he'd only read the first third of the book, so who knows where else it's going.

But going back on topic. I'm pretty sure that terrain will be eye-gougingly expensive. I'll say that GW has improved (and you may or may not agree) but I can say for sure that when it comes on terrain and the like, this guys make brutal stabbings on our wallets without excuse.

I think the Dire Avengers look good in that red color scheme, but honestly the incubi don't. I wouldn't mind this if they came out with a sprue or two of just heads and conversion bits of strange stuff for the wyches, avengers etc. But simply painting existing kits red and going yeah they follow this new god seems a bit meh. Even when painted similarly the difference between the older dire avengers next to the wicked sinister wyches looks odd.

I kind of like the new background for these characters, I guess we'll see how this goes. And Yvraine probably has the best sculpted female face from GW in recent times, the recent celestine and gemini and greyfax had the monkey face issue. I guess the high cheekbones narrow face look works better in CAD type sculpting.

Really? I'm the opposite, blue DA look much better in my opinion (athough the red option could look good if they retained their white helmets) but I do love those red Incubi.

But you know what would be even better than giving them a new colour scheme and rules option?
Plastic Incubi.

Its called a Gyrinx. Eldar use them to buff their powers.

There was an official Gyrinx model long, long ago, but it basically looked like Norwegian Forest Cat, despite the description at the time.

Huh, you know, I saw that, but I didn't think it was a Gyrinx. It looked too mundane to be an alien cat.

Oh it's definitely a gyrinx... I've got one of those originals in my to-be-painted pile

It was also in the rules until recently. The Corsair Psyker in IA11 could take one as a wargear option until FW prited the Second Edition and removed it.

I'm hoping (pretty sure I already psoted this, sorry if that's the case) that GS-II gives us back the Gyrinx as a generic Eldar wargear option beyond just being accessible to Yvraine.

Well, GW did just release Daemon Fulgrim in plastic...

Just one problem with that comparison... Fulgrim is a giant multi-armed snake daemon. So no, they didn't.

I just looked at the preorders, wasn't that same chariot just $55 last week and now its $70 here... for a rebox...
Horrors as well, they were $48... now $55. Screamers if I remember right were the same price as flamers, now they're $55 while thankfully at least the flamers stayed at $40.

Just never knew cardboard could be so expensive.

Even that finecast herald went up from $61 to $70. Feth me they really take the piss sometimes. Honestly if it weren't for these price increases the start collecting box would have an awesome saving of $3 making it the absolute worst start collecting box in terms of value.
