The Salvage Box (black and red above) is the Prime Configurations with a Gauss Rifle on each shoulder, and 3 lasers in the hands.
The Black Remnant Blood Asp (brown and gray above) is the letter "I" configuration with 1 laser in each arm, one Gauss Rifle total, and four lasers on the other shoulder.

With the campaign on hold for who knows how long, been working on some other stuff, with the Draconis Reach book in the back of the mind for a future rebooted / reworked mercenary campaign in mind. So, on a whim I rolled up a random flashbulb 'mech as a starting 'mech, it being the perfect type to use as a solo with limited access to C-bills and ammo, I wound up with the Flashman, which I've given a weathered look:
Pilot's callsign is Chevalier, who fancies herself something of a modern day knight, believing in chivalry, certain parts of the Lorix Order that don't venerate the loonies on the throne and noblesse oblige.
Also rolled up randomly, when the time comes to expand, a pair of companions to my questing knight: callsign Squire in a Commando and callsign Ward in the Valkyrie. One smitten by the idea of serving a "proper" knight, the other more jaded, but looking out for their gullible friend.
Also got around to painting some regular / SLDF 'mechs:
And finally, Nightstar my beloved:
To cap things off, finally got around to starting work on a project long in the planning phase; a board to put a printed arena and dice tower in:
Cumbersome, heavy and whatnot, but at least the tiles remain in place.
All that remains now is to paint the bastard and pick out a 'mech to use for future Solaris / Hardcore games. Probably the Hunchback 4G, can't beat the classics.
Back-order of seven vehicle salvage boxes came in today and I am quite pleased with this haul:
1. Hetzer and Vedette
2. Long Tom and munitions hauler
3. Mobile HQ and Schrek PPC carrier
4. Hetzer and Mobile HQ 5. Drillson and Manticore
6. Pike and Skulker
7. Pike and Demolisher
All I can say is.. let's goooooooooooo! Long Tom is a big win, as are both HQ's, they'll make for perfect additional objective markers. Other than that, nice spread of stuff, thankfully some heavies in there as well, wahey!
Also, pulled from the singular Mercenaries salvage box I chucked in with the order, a what now:
- Pack Hunter
Never seen one before, but an interesting addition to the collection.
That's a nice haul, I really like the manticore as a main battle tank but getting more isn't really economical with half the box it's in just being LRM/SRM carriers.
I just bought 9 legendary salvage boxes from Aries Games, I'm going to have a little unboxing get together with my Scouring Sands co-op buddy.

I'm not trying my luck any more with the legendaries, as much as I'd like to get the models and pilots from the first boxed set. I hope you're luckier than I was when I bought a few of those, I managed to get two hover tanks, a Warhammer and two Loki's, who might as well be Warhammers in all but name hehe, which has become a running joke now whenever I do unboxings, there is a Warhammer in there, as the batch before this, four mercenary boxes, also contained a Warhammer somehow.
The LRM/SRM carriers are really good, but they are something you don't want to spam unless you have beef with your opponent.

Another guy wondered why he never managed to get his hands on a Salvage Box...
Oh they sell out fast over here as well, which made it all the more surprising that my backorder wasn't cancelled and they still came in after a while. I got a whole box of Gothic salvage for our campaign, but haha, the gacha gods were not with me as they contained: one Urbie, four different Atlas mechs, two King Crabs and two Riflemen. Not a great force to use for random opfor generation sadly.
For me, this is probably as close as I'll ever get to having a gamble, but at least in this case I wind up with models that are still useful in either the coop campaign, or as little gifts to others. Nobody wants those Loki's and Warhammers though.

Yeah, really annoying as I am not a fan of the Gothic Atlas at all! When I got five Gothic salvage boxes before, it was two Scorpions and three different Atlas mechs.
The Atlas has become my most numerous mech by far in my collection at this point.
So while I was doing the previous batch, I forgot I was also doing a Hellion at the same time. It was put in a tote for the League, and I forgot to bring it out. So I finished it, and here it is.
Spoiler:
I also finished up my Fetid Claw Repaints.
Spoiler:
Javelin, Griffin 3M, Thunderbolt, Marauder II (BH), Ostroc, Urbanmech MRM.

My friend came over and we had dinner and a little Alpha Strike skirmish to learn the rules. A simple 2v2, my Wolverine and Warhammer against his Catapult and Marauder.
Image may be large
Spoiler:
His Catapult went down first after being caught in a crossfire between my Wolverine and Warhammer.
My Wolverine went next and then his Marauder fell with a lucky crit while trying to square off with the Warhammer.
We also opened the Legendary Warrior salvage boxes I got. Out of 9 boxes I got 3 SM1 tank destroyers, which really sucks. I also got 3 Marauders, gave my friend one of them since it's a nicer sculpt than the Command Lance box set one he used in our battle tonight.
The remaining pulls were a Loki II, a Griffin and a Timberwolf. All three of those (plus one of the Marauders) will make their way to my painting table.

OOF! I feel you on this pull! But congrats on getting three extra Marauders, each of the originally released legendary sets has one awesome Marauder redesign in there. Also, the variant Griffin is a nice one, but three tank destroyers.. welcome to that club!

I want light mechs but sadly there are none in the available blind boxes.
