Pretty much this for me as well on those characters. Cyborg still doesn't look quite right.

I didn't notice anything wrong with Cyborg like many have commented, but I haven't seen it on a larger screen and wasn't looking closely at it either. I'm sure the CGI will get refined though. We're something like 8 months out, right?

I'm guessing we won't see much more about JL now until after WW is released.

In other DC news, it looks like Joss Whedon is headed over to WB to write, direct, and produce Batgirl.

I find Flash's costume just so half assed.
That would be a neat cosplay. You have successfully stuck a lot of red armour bits to your jump suit, well done!
As a main character in a 2017 super-hero movie, he's a mess, visually. I guess they didn't have a ciritically over-rated 'gritty' iteration of his comic to draw from for inspiration 'look' wise.

It possibly wouldn't be so bad if the TV series hadn't already been out there getting Flash so very right... The movie version fares badly by comparison.

And I *think* I read that the suit is supposed to have been made by Barry out of pieces of heat-resistant material. So perhaps he'll have a different, Wayne-tech suit down the road, a la Spidey in the MCU? I dunno. The TV show suit is fine, but uninteresting and uninspired, IMO.


The cast of JL showed up at Cinemacon to promote the film. Cavill was there, so I guess no intelligences were insulted.

Why do super suits have to be so complicated in recent iterations? Or really any kind of sci-fi suit. Why does everything need to have multiple layers and complex patterned material.

What was wrong with just solid colored outfits?

Those types of suits tend to not translate to real-life/live action very well, at all.

These other types of suits cover up a lot of what looks bad about plain ol' spandex or what not...

I imagine that today's HDTV, IMAX, etc. tends to make the basic suits look very cheap and cheesy.

Superman is generally the leader of the JL but Aquaman has never really been a "you don't need me unless we need to talk to a fish" guy in the comics. That joke stems more from the characterization from the old Superfriends cartoon.

Yeah, Aquaman still has the benefits of super strength and being hard as nails to hurt. Basically a male wonder-woman, physically.

Yes... but in this iteration, he has to wait until he stops being dead before they'll let him join.

I would have much rather they included Green Lantern, Hawkman & Hawkwoman or Black Canary rather than Johny-come-lately Cyborg, particularly since he looks so naff...
