Well, the current oblits are a huge step up compared to old obliterators, so let's hope the next step is that much of an improvement! Maybe some Chaos-y corrupted Centurions, but not as goofy looking, if possible.
Here's to me in my sober mood,
When I ramble, sit, and think.
Here's to me in my drunken mood,
When I gamble, sin, and drink.
And when my days are over,
And from this world I pass,
I hope they bury me upside down,
So the world can kiss my ass!
New ork buggies and trakks would be cool. It would be interesting if they kept them relatively small and had them play like attack bikes. The Ghazzy model is cool, but on the small side compared to more recent stuff and at the same time he's the only mega armored warboss model, which is weird.
I've got the old obliterators but not any of the new ones. I like the idea of them, but the models have always looked bad to me. I like the look of the chaos terminators. Maybe I'll just model them into obliterators.
Necrons - Tomb Blades and Annihilation Barges. They're just ugly awkward models. For Tomb Blades, I'd prefer something like the old Necron Destroyer metal models. The Barges I just think should be totally redone.
Tyranids - Biovores. They look like dogs or something, not space bugs.
CSM - Abandon, he looks funny and way too small. I guess I'm not a big fan of the Dinobot models either, except I do like the way the Maulerfiend build looks. CSM and Terminators also need like way more weapons options. In general, I'd also rather them get away from the spikes, skulls, and spookies.
30k Word Bearers: not a fan of the Lorgar model. His armor looks off, like it belongs in a different setting. Gal Vorbak models are cool, but their listed wargear doesn't match the models at all beyond power armor and bolt pistols. Not a one comes with a bolter, and that is standard issue for a Gal Vorbak. No models with special weapons, power weapons, powerfists, etc. Superb sculpts, but a big fail on the WYSIWYG department, and I love me some WYSIWYG
Tau - I think the Crisis Suits are too boxy. They don't have that slick Robotech look.
I guess everyone's a critic.

+1 to Tyranid Biovores, they look so bad I've half converted and half scratch-built my own. Pyrovores are actually fine, they are just great candidate for a dual kit with Biovores.
Red Terror of the Ravener genus is by far the worst of offending Tyranid models. It doesn't even resemble the current line of Raveners and it's supposed to be their "sergeant" like upgrade.
Also I am not very fond of Hierodules and Harridans from FW. They look great on their own, but they look out of proportion and scale when placed next to current Tyranid line. Their looks are the main reason why I haven't ordered them yet...
The Catachan infantry box needs a serious update its a super old mold with just 5 guys repeated over and over. If they could bring it up to the standard of the command squad box it would be quite good as that box isn't too bad
Templars - 4500pts
Excoriators - 1500pts
Catachan 1074th- 2000
Zeal is its own excuse
Terminators need new models with more weapon options.
Same for regular CSM.
Need a proper cultist kit.
Need new Oblits and Muties Kit.
New Plague Marines kit.
Perhaps a proper Chosen kit?
New defiler kit.
Failbaddon the Armless needs a new kit.
Ahriman and Lucius need new kits.

They need to make a Death Jester that's easier to put together!
More seriously, new Grotesques. They look terrible and are monopose, so I've never gotten any. You can make better looking ones for cheaper with crypt horrors and bits of talos's

I agree with all of this. Especially the Red Terror..both that and those FW bio Titans look like they hardly match the aesthetic at all.
The pyrovore and Biovore should just be merged into one.
I've heard many people from all over the world complain that the Biovore has good rules but a crap model, and the Pyrovore has an awesome model and bad rules.
I use the pyrovore as my biovores for this reason.

Don't disagree with most, but why the defiler? I always thought it looked pretty good, overall.
Oh it does, it's just that we've got the sweet new loyalist version (gun crab walker) that the defiler is based off. I'd like to see the defiler redone to match the level of detail + add weapon options. Make it more baroque and we're golden. Move the turret it has to the Chaos Rhino for some SHOOTY METAL BAWKSES (It bothers me that there's no corrupted razorbacks, despite so many years between inception and M40.999
This is where I'd put my signature...If I had one!
I actually kinda wish they'd redo the other daemon engines to be less organic and more boxy like the defiler.
Right now they all look like armored warbeasts rather than a machine/daemon hybrid (not to mention with a tinge of war machine aesthetic). Something about the defiler's boxy exterior merged with the organic anatomy that just looks awesome and wrong at the same time, which is how i feel Daemon Engines should look.

I'm surprised I didn't see Khorne Berserkers mentioned. One of the first plastic kits from 3rd edition... Pretty darn nice for the time, but seriously ancient now.
Also the eldar skimmers held up remarkably well considering they were 2nd edition, but they're starting to show their age.
Something needs done with the aspects/exarchs. Failcast (Thanks to Galef - I'm using that now) needs to go.
I'm gonna echo several people here, the Chaos termmies need help. Or chucked in an oven.
Please leave my War Walker out of it. It's the only model I actually like to paint/build.

Nope resin is way superior to metal in nearly every way. It doesn't have to go, it is fine for back ordering old oop models. But this has stopped thanks to guys who keep giving it a bad name, and now I am stuck with metal for my obscure web onlu models again : \ So please stop bashing it. It just shouldn't be used for mainstream in production models since its a bit harder to work with than plastic.

I have metal, failcast, and plastic models. Plastic is the best, and then metal. My metal models don't break or 'melt', and I can drop them in a cup of acetone with no problems. The only good thing I can say about resin is that the detail is nice. Of course, detail is moot when the bits keep breaking.

Cough how about not gaming or storing your mini's next to open cups of acetone, or you know keep the lid closed that stufff is volatile you know.
Kidding aside it isn't just the detail, resin is superior to metal because you can handle the mini in a gaming environment without having worry about the paint chipping of, or the model bending and they are easy to convert. Not damaging the paint job when playing with my mini's is a big one for me. I love that I no longer have to varnish each of my mini's like it had to be done in the past. Converting is also a big one since it is what I and most inq players like to do, doing a simple headswap or weaponswap suddenly becomes a serious conversion one the model is solid metal. This makes having all our stuff in metal a serious disadvantage in my opinion.
I do agree that their resin too prone to breakage, but this is something that could be fixed easily by improving the resin mixture.

Finecast is a two-edged failure.
Detail is very nice, but cleaning that detail is hard to do without damaging it.
And, the level of detail often leads to parts of the model being extremely thin, and can be full of holes.
So, for the intricacies of Eldar models mean Finecast if not the best for them.
Now that plastic is so much better, they have had the time to learn from the newer models designed for plastic, and the release of Eldar models is overdue.

But also Ork Boyz. I love the character but they are just so static.
Running Boyz firing from the hip and swinging choppaz would be great.
If you're talking about Shoota Boyz, have you tried cutting them at the wrist and just gluing them to pistol arms? They look really good tbh.

Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

As a Tau player, I can't think of any kit that really needs a resculpt among the Fire Caste proper these days. The only ones they needed in the past were Fire Warriors, Pathfinders, and Crisis Suits... all of which got resculpts!
I really wish they'd do a new, cheaper version of the Sniper Team, because they're crazy expensive, but the scupt itself is decent enough.
There are more than Tau in the Tau Empire, however.
Vespid could very much use a resculpt (and new/improved rules, but that's a separate subject).
Kroot Carnivores and Kroot Shapers are still quite good, though a bit of diversity for the Shapers would be nice.
Kroot Hounds and Krootox, however... they could use a little TLC. Kroot Hounds are in a better place than Krootox, but making them cheaper and plastic would be nice. The Krootox model is, IMO, difficult to put together and could use more diversity in positioning and a more dynamic pose.
Really, though, the Tau Empire faction is, model-wise, in a really good place as is. The worst models in the Tau Empire faction are better off than the worst models in most other factions, IMO.

They didn't fall, but that image is funny. My scorpions are painted horrendously and I can't get the stuff off. I'll give you the converting, but I don't really ever have paint chipping problems with any of my models. I don't use Citadel paints though, so that may be the difference there. As for bending, they only do that when some PB&J covered kid, or a drunk roommate gets ahold of one. My Eldrad has been chucked across a room, and I only had to bend back the sword. The wraithseer (Resin) didn't fair as well; that's why I keep super glue in my case. (Disclaimer, I have only chucked a model once, when my models break, it's from the floor tumble, or melting in the car.)
Even if they improved the mix, it would have to not melt in my car. I travel a lot with my models, so they need to be able to stand a few hours in the sun (in the case). Honestly, everything just needs to go to plastic. It makes life so much easier. From what I've heard Inc, SOB, and IG all need like full lines redone in plastic.

I have a dremel. Converting a metal model is no more difficult for me than hacking up and gluing plastic models. The same skills are used (just differing tools - right tool for the right job). But I grew up with metal miniatures and you learned how to if you wanted something different from the bog standard ones.
Converting plastics is easy - often TOO easy. I grew up learning that anything worth doing wasn't going to be easy. It meant you had a sense of achievement when you did it.
For the eldar, the warp spiders need an update. ALL of the other aspects got one (shining spears at least have access to new jetbike models/riders for conversions).
Marines get updated every edition, sometimes multiple times. Chaos don't deserve one.

Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
