I saw the movie last weekend, and I loved it! Good mix of grimdark and comedy and all-around fun. Cate Blanchett manages to be absolutely divine despite being horribly evil, and the stuff between Thor and the Hulk was well played too.

Spoiler:
I'm wondering how this will all tie in to Infinity War. We saw that ship come in at the end, so is that Thanos? On another note, I'm really sad that they killed off the Warriors Three. I enjoyed those characters in the first two Thor movies.

Spoiler:
Just remember, this is a comic book movie. No one ever really dies. They can always be brought back using some space, wizardy, techno-mumbo jumbo. It is a bit like Soap Operas that way. If the story needs them, they will return.

Sad to see the Warriors Three die, was disappointed two went out like chumps. Scourge...was pointless. He brought nothing to the table. I kept waiting for him to do something truly awful...and kept waiting.

Beyond that, movie was epically entertaining. Laughed my ass off at Loki in the arena seeing Hulk: “...I have to get off this planet!”

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Yeah, Scourge was a waste of Karl Urban. And also, how the hell did a pair of M-16's have any effect in that battle?

It was just trying to be comic accurate:

I liked Skurge. He was never really on board with the evil lady bit, he just recognized that attacking her would lead to his immediate death. He never really helped her either though. He was probably going to execute the one lady, but looked like he really didn’t want to and was clearly hesitating. When it really came down to it, he did fight to defend the escaping civilians.

Also he served as an important expositinal sounding board for Hela to narrate to.

Skurge is essentially the Redeemed Coward at the end.

He falls in with Hela because he's seen what she's capable of. And at no point is he seen to be particularly enjoying his new role.

Yeah, that's my take on him.

I would not have a drink with the guy, but at least he found his stones in the end.
Spoiler:
The part where he was showing off to the two lady's and then they were covered in Giant Lizard (Salamander?) gore was fething funny.

So does anyone else think the Eternal Flame is the last Infinity Stone
Spoiler:
and that Loki took both it and the Tesseract? This would mean Thanos would probably have 2 Infintiy stones off the bat for Infinity War

Yeah, I’m pretty positive that it is. Makes way too much sense not to be.

Yeah I gave it a pass as it was a fun film but that was a bit stupid given the powers of even your most average Asgardian - (see Agents of Shield) - I think they just went with - yeah their are civilians and forgot or didn't need them to be all basically super powered.

I suppose the dead could have been much weaker, being dead, but then the civilian Asgardians should have smashed them with ease.

How come the M-16s work in the comic?

I've heard a few people discuss the idea that Scourge and Hela might have been a bit more engaging if a portion of the Asgard were on board with Hela's ideas of conquest.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Probably - I imagine some would have gone along with her - no dictator ever surives alone. Then again they were not really going for seriousness
