I just want my Imperial Guard doctrines back, or auxiliary grenade launchers, or dedicated drop troops list in normal 40k. Anything that gives me more variety as a guard player.
Failing that, just give me an enjoyable rule system that is fair and relatively balanced, because I'm fed up with 7th and I've played like two games of it.

Ask the Executioners in AoS. They fit very well into the game. 10 men, 200 pts, and two mortal wounds on each 6 to hit. Ouch!
GW will never be able to make a balanced game. And even if they try, they will fail as the example of the Executioners shows.

The #1 thing I'm most looking forward to is simply playing. Fielding some 40k minis and being part of the 40k U, which I have not done in 6 or 7 years.
I voted for balanced/streamlined rules, which is just a huge bonus...even though it's really the #1 thing is drawing me back (though I suppose I could just do that w/ Kill Team or Shadow War).
I also voted for price adjustments. GW seems to have some really nice deals the past year or 2. But other things still seemed overpriced. Curious to see how 40k prices are changed, if at all, post-launch.

some units will be more powerful then others sure but it's a matter of how flat the power curve is, it's a pretty steep one in 7th edition, with some units being criminally over costed and others being criminaly under costed

Being able to get my friends into playing. Before it was so hard with all the money involved in rules in addition to models. Now they can buy a box and we can get going

Not possible.
GWs entire business plan is create awesome minis and confusing bloated rules that force you to keep buying more minis regardless of how awesome (or not) they are.
