Thanks for your input everyone. The poll passed 1000 respondents and is going to be compiled into a more legible form soon, although it will remain up until my surveymonkey account expires at the end of the month.

It was good to get a bit of feedback from the more mature people of this forum to offset that of the "people" that inhabit steam's cess pit excuse for a discussion forum.

Here are the results.

Tau Empire somehow barely won out over CSM in the end, with Necrons remaining the most popular.
We'll see if Relic gave this any attention when the first DLC drops. Personally I'd be happy with a Tau vs Necrons first expansion.

Well, they were listening to you. The post credits scene of the campaign is an obvious necron teaser.

So, first expansion should involve necrons in some way.

I think its a safe bet to expect Necrons in the next expansion, I am waiting for the Guard to show up, personally.

I guess its probably a safe bet that we will get most factions as either as DLC or story expansions, pretty much how the previous two games worked

A better game?

Maybe one day Formosa. The release seems to have stirred some sleeping modders, who might go back and polish the older games some more if that's what you're after. Check out Elite mod for retribution if you haven't.

I doubt my poll had anything to do with the Necron reveal. Going by a speculative reddit post they've been planning this for a long time, ever since the Necron character in Last Stand.

IG would be extremely strong considering the dominance of forward bases right now. But before they add any factions I think they'd better release Last Stand as free DLC. The non-competitive sector of the game is very stunted as it is and contributed a lot to the game's poor reception.
