Why he is like twice the height of regular marines? Did GW get a little bit too crazy with his size. He is as big as a contemptor. Doesn't make any sense. Unless the scale is meant to be different intentionally.

Either way looks ridiculous to me anyone else think so?

I know hes a primarch but doesn't lore claim or at least point to them being 1 to 2 feet taller than their Marines?

Primarchs were always known to be bigger than normal marines.

i think angron was one of the shorter ones...?

but in general they are all way bigger.

rowboat might be slightly bigger than his fw counterpart but it might just be the suit being partially a dreadnought to keep him alive.

or he just got fat during his 10k year nap.

Still too big. We have FW models. 40k version went up. Presumably due to the armour is explanation in-universe and real world reason being GW having fetish with bigger models. Their modus operandi is now bigger=better. Allows for charging up more money for one model!

The Horus Heresy books describe Primarchs as being just as large to a marine as marines are to normal humans. So nowhere near as large as Robby G's new model is.

The funny thing to me is that the Primaris videos they just released protray him as being just slightly taller than Cawl, who is a 10,000 year old hunchback.

Yea its a bit too extreme. The model looks incredible but seems like him next to regular marines would make the army look hilarious.

Jokes on them all. in reality its just guillimans head on top of dreadknight. the rest of his body is being used to make nu marines.

He is in a vital support suit. I think others Primarchs will be smaller, but yes, he doesn't look quite right.

And in the comparasion between Cawl and Guilliman, actually Belisarius Cawl is very big.

So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

I'm more bothered by the model's existence in the game of 40k to begin with than its size.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Wow, I didn't realize Cawl was so tall. His model is kind of ridiculous, as well. And so is the fact that the Space Marine is nearly the shortest model out of all of them

To be fair, Cawl and the tech priest Dominus are mostly machines. Basically half dreadnought but in Ad Mech Style.

The real problem is that space marine models have always been what would correspond to a few inches taller than normal humans.

The point is for Guilliman to stand out among nu-marines.

Yeah, to me the size of Cawl is no problem, he is basically half a organic head into a full mechanical body with maybe an arm of two of flesh left.

I think if nu-Marines are the correct size for marine going forward (marines have always been too small in my opinion) then guilliman is probably about right (with the added life support).

If Guilliman is too big for his size, shouldn't people be way more upset about Magnus?

keep in mind that Gulliman has a lot of rocks and stuff on his base, which adds an inch or two to his height.

I do think that the smaller version that we saw a while back would have been a better scale for Magnus (I think it was about 2/3 of the size of the one they released)

Maybe he was made to go with the numarines ?
Is he more suitable near a numarine than an old marine ?

could be, and it'd not suprise me if that was the case. when 8th hits I'll have to styand Gulliman near one, see how it works

your mind

These models are designed from the marketing perspective to stand out in a showcase and sell to people who don't play the game. So the size creep has little to do with gameplay and how things work on the table top IMHO and all to do with GW marketing.

Yea perhaps their goal is to sell numarines simply to not look stupid next to Guilliman. Not saying I wouldn't play with the model, it honestly just kind of made me do a double take when I looked it up lol.

most likely the reason, and Gulliman certainly stands out that way
