Hi guys , i'm here to introduce myself to you old veterans of the wargaming world as well as you young lads painting your first miniature in the back of your bedroom with a flashlight and an old dying paintbrush from your schoolgear . My name is Norton and i'm in the french military wich leaves me with little time to abide my pastime of painting miniatures . I don't play i haven't got the time but i really enjoy painting it's like a meditation to occupy my free time . I started being a young boy painting 1/72 scale soldiers from the first and second world wars with my father but he essentially did all the work when i played with it when finished eheheh , i'm now an adult and haven't painted in years i decided to purchase some Warhammer 40Ks being a huge science fiction fan and started to pull my hair on how to paint it with a cool look cause it's really different from what i used to do , adding the fact that i've never build a miniature before . My ranks contains 5 Tempestus Scions that i will add in pictures for you to see and give me needed advices on how to be better in the future , 20 skiitari rangers/vanguard that i just started painting (only four finished i can put pictures of if someone is interested) , 10 steel legions not painted yet and an Vostroyan firstborns squad with a commander squad still in transit . I hope some of my work will be liked since it's my first time painting warhammers , this scale and scifi miniatures and i look forward to tips and tricks for my later work . See ya lads
;
Norton

PS: I'll attempt to take better pictures next time for the tempestus and the skiitaris because this ones are rubbish and i don't really understant why , sorry

Hi there, welcome to Dakka
There is an article about photographing miniatures on the warhammer-community website.
The models look great, nice choice of colour scheme.

Thanks daemon , i'm new to the forum community too if i must say so i didn't thought it would be better to not post pictures in this post but in dedicated one on the painting warhammers thread , i'll do just that ! And thanks for the appreciation , i wasn't really sure about the brown color for the armors but at this time i just had to do with the little paint i had , i'll post some of my working progress on skiitaris , i hope you'll like it as i like the color mix better . See you my friend .

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
