Did Gw just remove the looted wagon from the ork "codex" again. : \
For I can't find it in the xenos 2 book.

Would not surprise me, considering it has no official model and it encourages scrounging around for bitz. If it still existed (and especially if it was actually GOOD) then GW would be bleeding money from 3rd party modellers making their own looted wagons.

Looted wagon - **special cost**
Looted wagons represent the pinnacle of orkyness, a player may add looted wagons to their army provided they adhere to the following rules
- Looted wagons cost and slot match that of the unit from which it was looted
- Looted wagons must be made from citadel kits currently valid for play and use all the stats of those kits
- Looted wagons subsitute the BS value of its statline for 5+
- Looted wagons that have special rules conferring to units with <faction> never confer to Orks
- Looted wagons must be sufficiently 'looted' (if players disagree roll off, on a roll of under 6 the ork player wins)
It's not hard to make looted wagon rules that don't bleed potential sales from GW; it's kinda sad that they don't do it too, particularly now that templates are gone it wouldn't be super easy for orks to abuse it.

They need more rules like this.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go. |

Hopefully they will be in the Forge World index.
If not, we still might be able to "counts as" looted wagons to be Trukks, Battlewagons or Gunwagons (assuming Gunwagons are in the FW index, as I don't think they make that model anymore).

The alternative: Just using an allied renegade Knight or am tank squadron as looted vehicles is also out in matched play.

That's more or less the 3rd edition rules for Looted Wagons, where they were literally grabbed from any Imperial Army, given a crap BS and restricted to only taking Ork upgrades (back then aside from the land raider's PotMS, which was specifically negated, none of them had any special rules anyways).

the only issue I see with that as proposed rules is same points worse BS
currently I was already running a few looted land raiders as battle wagons and looted razerbacks as trukks. looted models for now are effectively just counts as BW or trukk. now I have one looted vindicator that was run as a looted wagon with kill cannon, it now is just kind of out in the wind for now.

I still like the idea of the eventual Ork Codex having a Narrative Play section that has the rules to create your own Looted Wagon for Narrative Games

"Battleagon" or "Trukk" are sufficiently vague IMO that you
can use any other army's vehicle model as one of those.
